Dave, is there any way you could change the search for specific names of plants instead of having to go through the whole list? For example, I like to check my irises with pictures of the same here but have to go through the whole alphabetical list, which is ok, I just click on the letter... lbut it seems easier if we could type the name. It seems I always need to find one that's at the end of the alphabet. For example, we just type in the specific name of the iris and it goes right to it. If it's a hassle, I understand...just wondering.

Search engine to the rescue!
http://davesgarden.com/pf/adv_search.php?Search=Search+plants
Put "Iris" in the genus field and the name you're looking for in the cultivar field.
Example: http://davesgarden.com/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=Iris&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=Immortality&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search
Dave
Boy do I feel dumb. Thanks Dave. That's exactly what I was wanting. Thanks for adding it! Just kidding, I knew it was there but forgot about it. Actually didn't know how to use it but had I looked at it closer, I would have seen what to do.
Thanks.
:)
best,
dave
