Amphibious, yes of course. But think I could think of that last night? Not on your life. We always go to AR. There used to not be a bridge across a lake, you took a ferry. Once, while waiting for the ferry, this red convertible car just drives down the side, beside where all the cars were lined up for the ferry, and goes into the water and away they went. That was probably 30 yrs ago....

Of course I remember Kim! The ferry was on Norfork Lake, outside of Mt. Home on Rt. 62 going east towards Henderson.........or you could take the V off 62 and go on the ferry off 101 going north......there used to be a ferry on Bull Shoals Lake, somewhere up by Theodosia MO.

Oh my gosh! I was on that ferry too many times to count! I miss it. Now it's just this big concrete thing that you drive across. It is so not the same ;(
I cannot remember how long the ferry was there but my mom rode on it when she was a young girl. I have pictures. But, not any pictures when I rode on it. Too bad, would have been fun to have them side by side in a frame.

I can tell you when I rode it. From the years of 74 up to when it was just a memory....sometime in the mid 80's? When I saw the car, it was 76. We used to go ride the ferry just for fun. We weren't going anywhere, although there was a nice park on the other side of 62, the Henderson side.
