Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

Atlanta Air Recovery showed up yesterday to collect what was left of the plane. I've not gone back to the actual site, but got pictures as they loaded it up.

Last picture. After the frame was loaded up they went back for the engine and prop...both very mangled. Guess they got the wings too,but I didn't see them.

Since no one was hurt I'll put this here.

My ex-wife started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year.
Yesterday afternoon, she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting when she was forced to make an emergency landing in Southern Tennessee because of bad weather. Thank God our kids were with me at the Beach House this weekend.

The NTSB issued a preliminary report, citing pilot error: Judy was flying a single engine aircraft in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions while only having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating) rating.

The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured.

Photographs below were taken at the scene show the extent of damage to her aircraft.

She was very lucky and there were no broken bones.

I will have you know my wife and I have been married 33 years and as long as I behave myself she said we could stay married 33 more. LOL It was a joke sent to me by my infamous MIL.

It was certainly funny Don. I had to tell my DH and he thought it was hilarious. One thing I have found out is that you are a character and your wife has a special place in Heaven already carved out for her.....33 years...that's a long time to be with one person. We hit 20 this year and I can honestly say I'd do another 50 :) One more thing, if my MIL had sent that to me, I would've thought it was her mode of transportation...ha, ha.
