Did anyone watch the Wife Swap episode in which the family ate a raw diet. I think someone needs to introduce Mom to a microscope. She is of the opinion that since you can't see it, it isn't there? I don't know, but I was thinking Child abuse and could not understand why a TV show would even think of sending an outsider into their home to live. I bet she had creepy crawlies hitchhike home with her.
Maybe those shows are made up. Can anyone eat a raw diet and not get E-coli or Salmonella? Made me sick seeing it.
And the kids lacked social coping skills. All I could think of was that the young man might go get a gun and kill someone. He was sure angry for no reason.
Wife Swap TV show
Yes i did watch it and all i can say is OMG!!!! I am sure that ABC is getting lots of letters and emails about that episode. I dont see how they have not gotten deathly sick. Yes it got me sick as well esp. when they were eating the raw chicken...ewwwy and then getting up at 2 am or something to drink some silly liquid and the raw eggs..I dont know but i hope no one attempt to eat raw things like that and gets sick...or someone could possibly sue them.

I never watch that show. It seems very creepy! But then again, I don't like the "reality" shows in general. They look really phony to me.
I hope they are phony considering the content of that one.
i watched and i was in shock that they were eating raw food! gross
the kids got sick from real cooked food-I highly doubt it, except their stomachs are warped out
of the normal eating all that raw meat!!!! poor kids!
That show sure can match up the opposite families!!!
I watched it, too. I can really understand how the family got sick after eating that greasy cooked food as the only food their stomachs digested in well over a year. I have been on fasts where I had to gradually return to normal eating habits. I think that the raw meat they eat is much healthier than what we get at the grocery, since they don't use growth hormones and chemicals with their animals. I eat my beef where it is cool on the inside, but never chicken. I'm not saying that I agree with them at all, but I don't think it was made up.
The part that really made me sick was milking the cow and not washing their hands before they cut up the raw meat to eat. Gross!!!! Bacteria can be good and bad. We do need it in our bodies, but we need the good kind and not the salmonella and e-coli.
I work in a dental office and the first thing I noticed ( I just can't help it) was the woman's teeth at the gum line, when there was a fairly close up shot when she talked, looked like black tartar and unhealthy gums.
also, I was watching another show, can't remember what it was and I swear that guy was one of the actors, but I guess everyone has a look-a-somewhere in the world.
And on the other side of the coin, being too clean can be bad too, all the bleach fumes!
These people live like this and are willing to put it on television.
Just imagine what people out there do who don't want anyone to know.
In other words, think of the things we don't see.
Sad, sick and scary world we live in.
I did see a couple on the Jerry Springer Show one time that I later saw on another show with different names and different problems. So I often wonder just how much reality tv is really reality.
I do think it is funny when they have a farm show of dairy cows and the new mommy orders them to stop working the farm. My cousin has a bunch of milk cows and she rarely gets to leave the farm since there are all those full teats to relieve.
I am amazed that the raw food couple have been all over the TV. You would think that the producers would have access to that information. So now I guess we can't believe anything they said, can we?
