Well the temps here have warmed up some and the snow is starting to melt, They are calling for rain this weekend. I still have a few more containers to WS, gonna have to get those done, I am getting excited to see what all survives, how bout the rest of you?

I got some Tetraploid Daylily Seeds from one of the ladys here on Daves and they are starting to sprout :o) When I received these seeds, some already had roots on them... I have no idea what the colors are, *rubbing hands together* can't wait to plant these out and see all the results, Maybe not this year, really not sure if they bloom the 1st year or not. but I am excited anyway :o) I got babies lol
I am hoping dh builds me a green house this year so I can play and play next winter :o)

Do any of you have experience with these? Is there any thing special I need to do for them?

I've never started daylily seeds before, I have a few in the frig. I'm going to plant this spring outside in pots, looks like you have a great start to them!

Wantabeagardener and Hart, I see that Brenda caught that you were talking about her extras offerings instead of mine. Sorry I don't have the passiflora incarnata to offer... It grows everywhere around here, but I've never harvested seed...

Also, Brenda, if you have any Pink Obedient Plant left, I'd love some of that, too.

Connie, I have had some luck growing daylily from seed. I harvested some in the late summer and potted it up in the fall. I had pretty good germination rates, and once the seedlings were about 6" tall, I planted them out. That was late November or early December, but here the weather is still pretty mild at that time (especially this year!). I have currently got several hundred daylily seeds planted in pots and in my small greenhouses. I just moved them there this week, when temps have gotten up in the 40s at night. If it gets cooler, I will probably have to move them back in because my greenhouses are not heated. This is my first time to plant DLs in winter/spring, but we'll see what happens. I have to stay on top of keeping them moist, because I don't have them in jugs like my WSing... Good luck with yours!

I have a few 'verbena tenuisecta' seeds, I love these they seem to glow in the evening, nice choice for a night garden!

I put your # on them Nancy :-) These are my favorite, I grow them every year, they reseed too, not a lot but I always collect seed off of them they would probably reseed more if I left them alone lol

Lea, If you have anymore of the moss vervain, 'verbena tenuisecta', I'd like some, too. Is it white? Or purple?

I was wondering if you all would want confirmation when I return these envies back... I am not sure what it cost but I know its not much, between 30 and 60 cents I think... You could call your PO and find out... If you want confirmation, just stick the change in with your seeds and I will know what it is for...

I still have not received my seeds from the valentines swap I was in, and I am just a little upset about it... 10 days is a long time to be waiting... when it should have only taken 4 days. geesh.
