Dave, the Addy Excg. list is getting long. Can you add a search box to locate a name so we don't have to scroll through so much of it looking for someone?

Thanks.

That would be wonderful.

In the meantime in both Internet Explorer and Firefox, you can hit CTRL+F on the keyboard and a search box comes up. That's for Windows, the CTRL+F. Is it APPLE+F or something like that on Mac?

Do you use Safari or Firefox, Darius? I can't remember.

If you use Firefox, you can also activate "find as you type". When you open a page, if you begin typing text you're looking for, Firefox automatically searches the page. It searches partial words, too (character strings within words, like typing in og would bring up an occurance of the word logs). You can also do the CTRL+F

Great idea Darius! That would really help, especially if it would work when you know only part of an id.

GW, Thanks. I had never noticed the "Find" feature in Firefox. Mac's work in a similar fashion to Windows in this case.

This was suggested about a year ago too: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/566140/ It would make it easier to find someone.

Thanks mgh!

Thanks, Dave.

Now, GW, about that ""find as you type" activation? Does that require another download or something?

I no longer have version 1.5 of Firefox running on our computers, so this applies to version 2 and newer. I suggest you install the FAYT (Find As You Type) extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3650/ Just click the big, green "install now" button and follow the prompts. To change its settings, you'll go to TOOLS > ADD-ONS and click where you see the extension listed.

If you have an older version than 2, I think it's in TOOLS > OPTIONS. Look through all the tabs that come up in the options window. Hope that helps! :)

Great! Thanks!

Will go check it out!
