Favorites??

If this has been brought up before, I apologize. I don't remember it.

Can we have a place to keep our "favorites".....like a cool photo we'd like to come back to, or an answer to a question we'd like to remember, etc.

Like we could click on a little red heart or something and that page would be stored in a folder on our homepage.

Gardenwife's new idea about numbering posts brought this old idea back to my mind.

Ahh yes, that's actually been on my TODO for a very long time. Now that I have more time to spend doing these kinds of fun projects, I hope to get this done sooner rather than later!!

I just save the link in my browser's Favorites, in a folder called - what else - Dave's Garden....

I'm bumping this up because I could have used it twice today.

Ceejaytown, I have been doing that too, but the page title is so long that I can't see the whole thing. So I can't tell one saved page from another. Another negative is that I'm still on dial-up so to find the one I want takes so long.

I know you're busy, Dave. So I'm not begging. Just reminding.

Usually when you are saving pages in your favorites you can change the name to be anything you want it to be.

yes, would be an awesome feature, could have used it many times myself...sometimes I'll ask a question in a thread and forget what thread it was in...even watched threads vanish if nobody posts to em...would be nice to have a favourites area.

In "My Info" you can click on "threads you are watching" and find the list of all the ones you're watching. I still like the idea of having favorites though, there are some threads that I only care to follow temporarily, and there are others that I think are a good reference that I'd like to save forever and it would be nice to have a separate place for that, along with maybe Plant Files entries, Garden Watchdog entries for my favorite nurseries, etc.

I would LOVE to have a favorites area. I searched for it when I first signed up and couldn't find anything like that. Just wanted to add my vote!

Me too. I've come across several special care threads I wanted to save in the past weeks.

Add my vote. I've spent lots of time trying to remember and searching for where I read about "such and such" so I didn't have to ask the same question over and over.

One that comes to mind in the Cacti & Succulents forum is the number of times someone asks which books are good to use for identification, culture, etc. I try to go back and find the thread which best discusses this issue, and I can't always find it.
