Does anyone like walking in moonlight?

Bolivar, TN(Zone 7a)

I was just wondering if anyone else feels "called" when the moon is full. It seems to call to me to go out walking in the moonlight. Since I am a night owl and sleep until noon most everyday, when the moon is full I love to go walking down our driveway, or dancing in and out of the shadows cast by the trees. Everything is still, but occassionally you can hear small animals rustling in the leaves as they go about their business. If it is cold, I can stand a long time and look at the silver light of the moon and follow it from window to window as it progresses across the sky.

The sight of a full moon has a positive impact on many of us. I often find a full moon be a spiritual experience. February 2nd will see our next full moon, popularly referred to as the Snow Moon.

As much as we can (more in summer) we walk up Mount Tamalpais when there is a full moon. We eat cold chicken, and wait for the moon to rise. Spectacular!
When we don't go up, I sit in my front porch and look at the shadows my trees cast. Especially in winter that is gorgeous!
My son was born 10 days before the date my doctor gave me. FRom the moment I was pregnant I told him; if that date is not a full moon, the baby will not come. He was born on the last full moon of August in 2000!
I share your sentiment!

Beautiful pix. Glad that you took it and shared it. I have spent many a night looking at the shadows casted by the light of the moon. Right now it is cloudy and expecting snow. Talked to my son in FL and he said eventho it is cloudy, it is still bright where he lives on the outskirts of town. Enjoy your chicken.

I too love the site and light of the full moon. It always inspires me to try and capture the feeling with my camera. I never have quite got it but I'll never stop trying. This was an attempt last month in the Carribean.

Liked the pix you took in the Carribean. We are planning on taking a cruise to Mexico in April and if it is full moon, I hope my hus. can take a pix. as good as your's is. LIZ

Just a fyi type of thing.

If you want to know what areas of your garden will be in shade next summer, watch the moon's shadows now. The sun's shadows will be where the moon's shadows are in 6 months.

And yes, sometimes Luna's call is LOUD, lol.

When I was ready to deliver my son, the doctor said a lot of babies are born on a full moon, early or not. And yes, 10 days early, on full moon, there was Matthias!

When he was 3, we moved from Belgium to CA, and after being here a few months, the first thing in English out of his mouth was, when there was a full moon; "Look at the moon!!!"

We are "full moon people"!
