Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

I have tried every where I know and can find none in NC.
Anyone from the coal mining country here that can help out?

my dp just suggested calling the local propane gas company. they may sell coal also, for those who burn it for heat.

I found 10 lbs for 17.95 in a flat rate box, but I'm not sure if the postage is included. You might want to contact them and see if they have a smaller amount?

It shows shipping included on their site.

I thought some of our DG'ers from WV, KY, or TN would have found this thread.
Maybe in a day or two.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Alas, I am from Ky, but have no clue. If I have time tomorrow, I will call around and see if there is any to be found. What are you gonna use it for, and how big of chunks do you need.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

They sell it here in the lumber yards. If you can't find them anywhere else I could send you some. LMK

Our propane companys don't sell it here in our area. I can't beleive no one much uses it anymore.

Lavina, I called down the street about coal, and he asked me 'what kind?' He told me fifty cents for a box like that. I'm about to go right past there, and i have to go to the PO later anyway. Just let me know.

Lavina, have you looked in the yellow pages for a gem/mineral shop in your area? They will usually sell small quantities of even obsure stuff like this. I have a lovely looking salt rock with some streaks of iron as a bookend for my DVD's, I think it cost me about 5 bucks :)
