I have a question ... can we send leaves that we have rooted, or just cut leaves the day we mail the package?

Here's info about preparing leaves for shipping ... got the link from the sticky:

Just dropping in to say that I heard from critter a day or two ago, and she said that she hasn't taken her plants in for testing yet - she's probably got other things to do, but in any event she said that she can't treat them until spring anyway.

Sound like you all are having fun!

(Zone 1)

I must have missed something. Where is Critter taking her plants and testing for what? Hope she's not having any major problem.

"Critter" .... I'll keep good thoughts for you and all your "Babies" ..... whatever the problem is.

Lin,

Cut leaves is what I meant, but a rooted leaf would work, if that is what you have. : )

Abilene, TX

Lin, I was thinking if we all send fresh cut leaves, we might track progress and have a little prize for first ears, etc. Can you send fresh cut? Pam

(Zone 1)

Yes, I can Pam ... I just wanted to clarify what was appropiate for the trade! THANKS!

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Got my d-mail!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks Pam ! 18 super great number for our trade !
Lin I think best to send fresh cut leaves as everyone likes to start them different. Some people clean and treat them before so.
ALWAYS Isolate please.
Thanks Keyring. Hard decsions on treating for Mites they can wipe out a whole collection. I could never use those checmicals I'd have to throw them all out. Poor Jill by Spring her whole collection might be wipped out :((
I have seen it happen to many a people.
