'Jenifer', a movie which will air on Lifetime network this coming Sunday. (January 21st 2007.)
It is the true story of Jenifer Estess, a Manhattan theater producer, who was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, when she was only 35 years old.

In response, Jenifer, along with her sisters Valerie and Meredith, created Project ALS www.projectals.org which is responsible for funding and encouraging much of the recent progress made in the search for treatments for the fatal disease.

Jenifer Estess had no idea how drastically life can change in a single moment until she was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease).
Laura San Giacomo and Jane Kaczmarek star in this emotional tale, based on a true story, of three sister's undying strength.

Hi Allison,

I will try to watch it tomorrow night. Thanks for the heads up.

I haven't met you officially, I joined DG in August and am loving it.

I had a friend die with ALS and it was bad. I know they must have a lot of new research on this now. Pray for a cure one day.

Thanks Jeri I really Appreciate you ! Sorry about your friend. She and you and all her friends and family are in my prayer.
I am going to try to tape the movie !
ALS is not a Rare Diseases anymore and just as many women get it as men. And it affects everyone as young as 12 years old now. A new person is DX every 90 seconds. Thank you for your prayers for a cure !
