rooting jars / vases

That sounds good to me. I just wasn't sure what kind of exchange we were talking about. A jar for everyone in the exchange would be a lot for me depending on how many people were exchanging. I wonder how many people would want to exchange?

Well someone start another thread to see how many would want to exchange 1 jar or container for water and cuttings?? That way we know how many and give it a time limit or a limit to how many people, to exchange. Someone up for this?? I can't, I have medical problems. But want to be in the exchange!!!

I've got an awful lot going on right now but this looks pretty simple give me a day or two I think I have an idea that should work pretty well and I'll put up a new thread. I may have to leave to pick up a friend that has just been released from the Hospital and may need to stay at my house. We have a pretty good snow/ice storm going on.

Stay safe and warm, and take care of your friend, that is most important!!! Thanks, and this will be fun for us to do!!!

my new jar display! i found this cast iron fireplace candle holder at target for $9.99. cliped off the stems that poked out of the iron discs to hold candles (with a wire cutter) then put my jars up. i'm so happy! i'm not going to plant these, i'm going to root them forever and see what happens.

Very, Very, Nice! I LOVE that as a jar holder! Really Beautiful! Did you buy that recently at Target? I sure would love to find one like that! I have a Fireplace Candleholder that I never use in the fireplace. It is actually dumped out in my Florida room somewhere amid a bunch of junk right now. But, it's nowhere as pretty as that one! I WANT one like that!

Oh, and I love the ivy rooting in them. You could stick some sprigs of other things in along with the ivy, or even a pretty flower!

Very pretty you could use that wax they use to keep candles in place to make your jars more secure. A row of hyacinth bulbs in Spring would look nice too. I bet I could find one that would sit behind my sink at the kitchen window.

I figured I would use that double sided tape to hold the jars in place ... I've used it for other stuff and it usually reallys ticks hard and tight!

edited to say: I'm off to my local Target!

Jar exchange is open. I hope you like the way this is organized. I set this up in a way that I thought would be easy and quick. There are two threads.
This one is for the Name Exchange “only”

This one is for questions and discussion.
