Linking one thread to another

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I got directions from another DGer on linking but am not having any luck. Can I get any help here or is there a place on DG that explains how.?

I am probably the least savvy computer person here but:

Go to the thread you want to link in your post, highlight the address from the address line above, control c, then go to where you want it, control v and then preview. See if that works.

thanks. I would have thought I would have to pick copy or paste.

woodspirit, you do copy and paste.

Highlight the address in the browser bar by left clicking at the left, drag to the right to highlight in blue.

You can then hold your mouse at the very end of the highlighted area, right click and click on copy.

Go to the page where you want to copy it to.

Place the flashing line where you want to paste to.

Right click next to it, then click on paste.

You can then preview and check the link to see if it works before sending.

If you have already typed some words and don't want to risk losing it, you can open another Dave's Garden web site and have one minimised while you find what you want on the other.

You can also copy and paste buy using the 'Edit' tab on your tool bar by left clicking on 'edit' then slide down to 'copy' and let go, then do the same to paste, but the other way is quicker.

Betty,
Control c is the keystroke for copy
control v is the keystroke for paste

thanks all of you. I think I am a bit intimidated by computers and they keep changing so fast. I am not the fast learner I once was.
