I'd like a couple of the 'old fashioned' blizzards that we used to have - the kind the shut down the roads and cars stuck all over, drifts higher than you are! Seems like those were in the good old days!!
We have several inches of snow cover, but the roads are all clear today. I was just listening to the weather report for the end of the week and they are saying a major cold spell will be here- coldest yet!

sarv, This month she says she is interested in plastic surgury, well, for the past 6 months. That is why I had her apply to Alma, they have a very high percentage of acceptance into the Michigan Med. Schools.
But she really has her heart set on a big University. U of M specifically.
U of M is a harder school to get a high grade point in, which you need for Med. School. Several people have told me, 'don't go to u of m if you want to go to med school. They accept more from other schools than their own undergrad. program.
Daughter also has a friend who wants to go there, and if she makes it in, then they can room together. No such friend for MSU or Alma. I keep saying, this should be all about you and your future, not about a roommate.
Both hubby and I are MSU grads, so we are pushing for MSU, but in the end, it is her decision.
I guess this is pretty much the speech I gave to her over the weekend. LOL
does she like green/white or blue/gold??? LOL

Today i have to run to the post office and mail some seeds out and then get some treats for dayme to pass out tomorrow at school for his BD! Order his icecream cake from baskin robin and get his card(mental notes)
He will be 10=2 digits from here on! ;)
Im going to go fill the bird feeders and check out the threads

well I went out and man its getting colder by the hour!
My road was bad when i left and my driveway, but when i got back there
was a truck pulling a firebird backwards to get it unstuck! We are drifting bad on the north side
side streets, even one of the well traveled side rds looked bad!

Got the treats and the cakes ordered-maybe a game or two of bowling before the kids get home
Just had a hot bowl of homemade veggie soup-i have to say i did good its yummy!

Its about the same here the temp is about 32 but the wind is brutal, gusts to 20 mph. Cold through the weekend.
34 days to Flordia but whos counting.
