Change in my Home Page

I can only get recent posts and I haven't done anything different. What's up?

1gardengram, what do you normally see on your home page?

A list of all the forums. Then I can choose which ones I prefer to look at, not just the recent posts, 95% of which I wasn't interested in today. Am I the only one getting something different?

If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the home page are your forums there? I wonder if maybe you accidentally changed the order of how things show up on the home page and wound up with the recent posts above your favorite forums?

I thought of that, but did not change anything. I did not have any favorite forums marked at that point, as I just looked at what struck me at the moment.

If you don't have any favorite forums then that's why the recent posts are showing up and nothing else is--but I'm not sure why you just noticed this now and not sooner because the recent posts feature was added a month or two ago. Try clicking on "Garden Talk" and "Home Talk" tabs instead--that's where you go to get to the lists of all the forums. If you want any forums at all to show up on your home page, you need to choose some as your favorites and then those will show up.

Sorry ecrane3, just not what happened. I have had the entire list of forums every single time I logged on and I usually do that two or three times a day. Maybe I was the only one getting that Home screen. Then just suddenly, without me doing anything different, I got just recent posts. I used to have favorite forums, so know how to do it, but then decided I might like to look at other things sometimes too. I have gone into my profile and made sure that I won't be getting any of those recent posts again. I just don't know why things change in the middle of the stream, but thanks anyway.

Well, the one way to fix it is go into every forum and tell it that it's one of your favorites, then they'll all show up on your home page again. I figured everyone's home page worked the same as mine where the only forums that show up on it are the ones you have marked as favorites, so I have no idea why yours would be different. Hopefully Dave or Terry will know!

Actually, there's an easier way to pick your favorites to appear on your homepage.

1) Go to "My Info" (link is just beneath the main feature tabs across the top.)
2) Click on "Manage your preferences"
3) Click on "Forums" in the left-hand column.
4) Pick as many or few forums as you wish to have appear as your favorites.
5) Click on "submit" when you're done.

We also have the option of where we want to see what and in what order.
I don't see recent post, or many other things.
My mail is #1 followed by watched threads.
