Anybody watch that program? I'm not hot on it but my grandson goes nuts over it. Has anyone figured out how to beat the system its pretty simple really. Chase got the hand held version for Christmas and I clear the low dollar side of the board fairly quickly. The lowest amount to date has been 135,000. Just one of them dumb things people play I guess. You know they don't select people with logical minds, they figure that stuff out and you have to play a pregame to qualify to be selected, or at least thats what I've been told.
Don
Deal or No Deal
Hi Don,
I'm not much into board or television board games, but
I've seen the show a time or two.
I guess I just can't bring myself to watch any more game shows
with pumped, stuffed, collagen injected, bleached, dyed, tweaked,
plastic Barbies walking around.
Ah. Now that I have that negativity out of the way, it would be a fun
gameshow if they had more realistic people on. The few times I've
seen it, good grief, I would be nervous about losing it all. Lots of moola!
:-)
Don,
You must be smarter than everyone else. How can you predict the amount in one case out of 26 ? One show the person got down to 3. He took the deal. They played out what he would have picked. The two left were $500,000 & $5.00. 50 -50 chance the case he had on the table was the big one. He had the low one, $5.
Watch the show before commenting.
I'm crawling out to say that DH and I are totally addicted to this show. We also go online to guess the lucky case for a chance to be the home winner.
I don't see how anyone could begin to figure out what is in any of t he cases. It's just lucky guessing. Or unlucky if they guess the wrong cases.
"Watch the show before commenting."
I'm not certain to whom this referred, but if it was for me, I have seen it.
I watched it one time...a chick picked a lime green Escalade....was the right choice but OMG what an ugly car.
They don't give away cars on this show.
The first post I am referring to.
this one they did...they offered her to take the case of this lime green escalde.
Bernie, once in awhile the banker will offer something other than money. Not very often, but once in awhile. They did offer this girl a lime green Escalade in trade for her case. She had been saying all through the show that she was playing to win enough to buy an Escalade, and her favorite color was lime green. At one point in the show, the banker offered her the Escalade and she took it. It's been awhile, and it may have even been one of the first shows.
Anything to throw a person off, LOL!
I haven't seen them all. My life goes on without TV.
That is a pretty good prize though, must be near $70,000.
Bernie
I thought it was a pretty good prize too, but it really was an ugly color. LOL I thought she was smart to realize that what she wanted was being handed to her, and she took it rather than being greedy and trying for more.
I've seen lots, (most), of the players end up with less than they could have because greed got the best of them and they fell into this "one more case" trap.
How about some of the other's ?
The Mob 1 vs 100
Or the one guessing who or what the people are. Wrong answer & DONE!
Bernie
Hey, Joan,
Did you see Jepordy today ? The question was what state Moorhead was in. You are proud owner of it now. The category was Fargo.
I do have my TV on while slaving away on my computer. I've been putting together a huge price list for cabinets. Also a cut list for all the parts needed for each cabinet. I think I got it right now. I need to get it on a disk before the computer eats it!
Bernie
I've only seen 1 vs 100 a few times, but I enjoyed it. I like the ones where they ask questions. It tests my knowledge too, and I learn a few things. I also like Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
I caught part of one where they guess who people were, but I didn't catch enough of it to figure out what the game was all about.
My Mom was a game show junkie, and I could easily follow suit, but I don't seem to have enough time to watch much TV, and DG usually wins out when I'm contemplating what to do with any spare time I might find. :)
OMG! Moorhead is now in North Dakota? LOL The Red River must have been up to some pretty cool tricks to accomplish that.
Guys I am sorry according to my thread watcher this topic has been dead so i hadn't checked it until this evening.
It is logical that if you pick a case that has any significant amount in it then the 2 cases to either side of it do not. In short order you will have removed all of the amounts on the left side of the board and will have at least 30% of the larger amounts left on the right. The banker will try to get you to leave the game with fairly significant amounts every game its up to you as to when you get out.
Works every time.
Don
Huh?
OK I wasn't clear pick a case at random if for every case you pick randomly that is low the odds will tilt further to your advantage. But if you should happen to hit a case that is oh say $5000 or more then the case just before it and the case just after it are going to be small amounts, at no point so far have they ever put two large amounts side by side. The banker goes up on his offer as the smaller amounts get fewer, then its you decision as to when to get out. Random picking of cases is a guaranteed lose 93% of the time.
Don
Don, if you aren't busy tomorrow, could you join me in
a guest spot on a game show?
Wow. Wouldn't that be fun to win something grand?
I've never been lucky at winning. It all started in the
fifth grade when Tracey Presley yelled BINGO before
I had a chance to do the same. She won the chocolate
bunny rabbit and it's been downhill ever since.
LOL. Just joshing. A childhood trauma of sorts. But I can laugh
about it now.

Nothing worse than a Bunny thief in my opinion!

If no one objects.
I'll have to do a double huh....like Bernie. The game of Deal or No Deal, which I love, is entirely chance and odds. The cases are in a random order. You can almost figure out what the banker will offer based on what cases you have left, but the rest is left to chance.......no methodical equation there to get the right box....You always have a choice. :) sorry Don.
The kids got a deal or no deal game for Christmas and which we use this method and it works every time. If you will use a piece of paper and write down the numbers through 26 and the amount of each case as they are revealed you will see the pattern that in the vast majority of cases 99% that to each side of a large amount case at $10,000 or more then each case to either side is of a low amount. Say case 22 is $50,000 then case 21 and 23 will almost always have amounts that come from the left column of the low amounts. The more of the left column you remove the higher the bank offer will go at a faster rate. You decide when to get out according to the number of large cases left on the right. The odds will always be in your favor and not random, its the random picks that are not in your favor. Logic dictates it.
Huh?
My mom married a guy with 4 kids. 2 normal, 2 with CF. They got it from their mother. She had died, but I don't remember if it was from CF. This was back in about 1969 or so.
I remember all the problems those 2 had. Both of them died at around 21 years of age. Haven't kept up on progress of the disease, but hopefully they have made some progress in treating it.
Best of luck to your Grandson!
Happy New Year!
Bernie
It takes both parents to have the broken gene. Most Caucasians carry the gene but unless the mother and father have it then its not passed on. You can have cf and only be a carrier without the disorder causing any problems, you can also not have the disorder kick in for many years or at birth. It can progress quickly or slowly just depends. Most people who have it don't know it, it can easily be diagnosed as asthma, chronic pneumonia, or a variety of other things. The main problem of the disorder is mucus that forms in the lungs and pancreas.
