What is this? Looks a little fishy to me

What I can't figure out is how to use the contact us feature. I have tried, but it always says I must supply my name and ID - well WHERE? I signed the letter with both, but it still wouldn't send. This has happened before. What am I missing?

it's called SPAM folks.... I have notified the admin and they will promptly evict, I'm sure.
It's happening on a lot of forums lately although I haven't seen one on a forum where you have to be a paying member.

Doris has been halted in her tracks, and will be evicted (meaning her dmails and posts will be wiped out) momentarily. Sorry about that - there's just not much more we can do to thwart them when a spammer is willing to pay to access the forums and send dmails (we already put a 2 new dmails per day limit on non-subscribers, which keeps out most of them.

Well, I got one also. I didn't send my life savings, nor any fruitcake, just a hex on her and her entire family. They were changed into frogs, and will be hopping around about now.

Agh...just ruins my morning to get this scammers dmail! Quite unsettling. Just a good reminder for me the world isn't perfectly safe. Thank-you for nipping this Dave's Garden!

tgif: I always have that same problem when trying to send a contact us msg! I think I fixed it on mine by going to my preferences and entering my real email address for Dave's to contact you back.

I just posted a message to her and said, I love her too, please send me money.

I'm in the club too. Sent it right off to D. What a weirdo.

I got here email addy and vow to send her all my dumb jokes for life...

Actually I didn't get a dmail either, just saw several of these messages in the forums.

However, I DO get a daily email or two from some places that don't even have a reply button, or an unsubscribe. I just keep deleting them without reading them.

Yesterday night I was watching that guy selling all the moonrocks post a bunch of threads, I see he got wiped out too.

Yeah...I think the full moon has had its usual effect on our forums' ebb and flow ;o)

You all may laugh, but when I was in the soup kitchen, I could tell when it was a full moon; especially with my pot washer who had multiple psychiatic problems...

Yep, that old man in the moon is with us always! And I'm not laughing about that. I've seen things repeated every full moon cycle that don't happen at any other times. Weird, but true. I just was a little surprized to see it here!

Happy- I used to work in a Lifeskills classroom and it seemed like there were days when chaos reigned. It never failed- it was either foul weather or a full moon. We were just glad we didn't work in a place where it rained more often. haha

Don't fret if you didn't get yours. With the volume "she" generated in those few short hours, It's possible you got one, but it was deleted before you saw it.

I really don't remember - 6 or 7 pages, maybe? (and I think there's 40 per page.)

Terry, thanks for your close attention to this - it could have been catastrophic!!!! "She" must have thought the investment worth it...email lists are worth a lot of money to some people. Good to see that folks on DG are clever and alert!!!
