I love your Pom pom Reindeer!! Did you make them?
Caren

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes Caren, I make them... There are no 2 alike.. It seems they always look different! The instructions were on the back of a package of glittery pompoms in the craft dept at Walmart!

South West, LA(Zone 9a)

I got the directions for my sad Reindeer from a Family fun mag. Theirs looked much better but we had all kinds of fun making them!
Caren

The Woodlands, TX(Zone 8b)

kareoke, I loved that spider story.....looks like I need to get a tree spider.

dun, those poodles are adorable.

ZZ, that shrunken head is creepy, did it ever sell? I have to say....you couldn't give that thing to me lol
The shrimp are cool.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Fly_girl... It was a very expensive antique glass ornament! I don't know if it sold.. I haven't gone back. After posting it.. I felt bad for doing it.
I loved the shrimp too.. but those are not entries, since they were on the net.. not my actual photos... whish they were! :-) But then again, I don't think that SnowLady with a hemorhoid cushion can be beat! I cracked up when I saw that!!!!!!

Spider story was great Kareoke, I'm glad you shared that!

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6b)

I needed to run to the garden center (now christmas shop for the holidays) to pick up an ornament on the theme of horse riding for my friends daughter. I suddenly remmember the contest. I had no camera in hand. There was this big beautiful tree decked out with lovely birding ornaments and this ugly cardinal sticking out like a sore thumb. No camera so I purchased the ugly little thing.

The photo does make him look much better than he actually is. I have never seen a cardinal look so mean.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I went to Wally World and bought three of the ugliest ornaments I've seen. My tree isn't up yet so I photographed them resting against a rug. This is a gray colored snowman. Instead of a nose that sticks out, the nose plastered against the face. The ornament is so poorly made that the side seams are very prominant.

This is the world's largest wiry slug!

This is a turquoise yarn ball. I just bought it, but it looks like it has seen better days.
I gave it eyes and a nose. I want those cuttings so badly that I'm willing to place these ugly things on my Christmas tree.

I finally found my favorite ornaments!!!
I got these from a friend quite some time ago. She found them at Holiday bazaar and
knew I needed them. LOL
The Grinch made out of light bulbs.

Cute, Kin! When things start to get carried away by commercialism I start to be a bigger fan of The Grinch. LOL I need a small child to get me back in the mood. Anyone want to rent me one?

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I have 20 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN which one do you want to borrow *LOL*

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow! 20? That is AWESOME! Many people never get to see one. You are so blessed.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh my, there are such fun ornaments on this thread. I went out last night and missed the end to this contest. But I was thinking I would go ahead and send a double PINK cutting to everyone that submitted a picture on here if you do not already have a double PINK! I would like to limit it to those with no double PINK yet because I want to have enough for everyone without making them too small. Everyone posted a winner to me!!

The only question is, is too late to do so now and is it too late for them to root. Email me and let me know what you want to do, wait till spring or get it now!

I am almost out the door to go to a Christmas luncheon in San Francisco with some other Davers. And then we are going to make a day of it at the Arboretum and the Conservatory! So I won't be around here till late.

I hope you all have a fun day! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

Merry Christmas Kell, and everybody..so great that all will receive!!
The ornaments have been a good deal of fun to follow, amazing the variety out there...LOL!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell, Thank you so much I am looking forward to having a DOUBLE pink.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I knew I should have taken pictures. LOL
I have a double pink.
Kell that is really a great gift to everyone right here at Christmas season. You are just a special person. Merry Christmas to you.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Yes, I did Linda, I have been out and about so much I haven't had time to sit down and finish my itinerary with all the great info you found for me. THANK YOU!

I just wish I could send everyone one because I know how much people want a double PINK and if everyone does crosses we will end up with some really good looking ones. I have been so lucky that I have a double PINK guardian angel who sends me my double PINKS. I am happy to pass them along.

I have been seeing pictures of brand new double PINKs this week and let me tell you the ones that are coming down the pike are so special! We all are going to be happy campers next summer when the new ones start making the rounds. But even if you do not get on a list right away for a new one, once you have your own double PINK you can make your own new ones!! LOL.

I was out shopping yesterday with some other Davers and we had to stop and look for ugly ornaments. This one got our vote!

lol that is pretty bad Kell

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Yikes!!! Lol

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Flygirl, I want your Santa on the flamingo! I love PINK flamingo ornaments. LOL Dotts looks actually adorable!

Kin, your blue Grinch tree looks like mine that had the bad mites. Did this one have mites? I am looking at all that weird wispy growth. Or did your Grinch do it? LOL

Veronica, did you buy these just for the contest? LOL. You could have just taken their pic at the store! Or do you have an ugly ornament tree? Every year I threaten to have a tree with only ugly ornaments on it. Then all my friends would have to come in and lie to me and tell me how pretty my tree was. Of course you would have to pick out an ugly tree too. LOL

AWWW so cute Joyce your little reindeer! And I loved your story Doris. I had never heard that before. Now I have to look for a spider too.

Here is another one that I thought was cute ugly!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

OH... am I too late ... I was going to dig some out... as there are way just enough trees already inside here so I've been a bit slow... smelling better than a ball sam fir... so I decorated the ones I have..and found some plumeria lights..
Colonoscopy at 10 am tomorrow... if I drink another ounce of that stuff I'll surely never go..some will know from what I speak... that's the ugly
so this is my ornament...made from an OKRA seedpod...dried and sparkeled..my mother calls it her Alabama Angel... I hate okra except as a part of my gumbo.. any of the other ways to enjoy the furry.. prickly pods is beyond me...

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Oh...here's another picture of my Alabama angel... do I get marked off for not having a pine... great thread...loved them all...Merry Christmas.......... Gordon with no doublepinks

Yeah Gordon that stuff will put you in the hospital for sure. And the okra, glad you found a use for it. Good luck with the colonoscopy.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

LOL Gordon just went to all that and more after throwing a blood clot to my intestines. They put you to sleep so you won't feel a thing. No problems afterwards

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

Jim.. wellI....went in and escaped..back home in 3 hours total.and they said they removed a single something or other..soI'm glad I went through it now.. can't believe I'd ever do it again..
60*F here in the middle of December.. Ya gotta love it..
Donna... Ouch...were they dealing with a clot.. or did they make one for you.. yes I feel just fine already...but then I felt great before.. hope it's all better for you... too now...
Kell.. you're such a dear... Thanks.. Gordon

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

the clot just happened out of the blue. Thought I was going to die with the pain. They were looking for a reason why and to make sure no permanant damage was done to the intestines. Through extensive bloodwork they discovered I have a heridity bloodclotting disease. Will be on Coumadin for the rest of my life now

Myrtle Beach, SC

DonnaB and Gordon, so glad everything went well !!
Kell, you're the Brug Angel for sure. I bought Day Dreams earlier this Summer so I have my double pink, too.
Congrats to all the "Winners". Enjoy those pretty Kell's doubles and post lots and lots of gorgeous pictures !!
Gid bless you all and a very safe, healthy and happy Christmas !! Margo

Hagerstown, MD(Zone 6b)

Santa Kell. That is so generous of you. Congrats to everyone and please share those photos next season.

Well, phooey!! LOL!! (no dbl. pink for me this year!)
I decided, after pulling out the decor this year, that really, none of ours are all that 'ugly'.

Granted, the kids have made some 'doozers' over the years, but I just didn't have it in me to deem them anything but beautiful!

That's a *good* thing!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

kell, was I missed.
I know you lost some Brugs due to the weather but I wondered if you sent out any Brugs from the contest, since I lost about all of mine I was just wondering, if you lost them I am very sorry, and I understand, I know you love Brugs.

Doris

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Hmmmm no readers, no answers.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Doris, I'm sorry about all of your bad luck. I will do my best to get you a double pink later this summer, but I'll have to wait for some new growth that I can cut off to root.

Shirley
