You know I don't have a clue theres a number on the bottom called a SKU 050581757 it also says Havoak finish.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I also had a set of Lazy Boy's. We got the beige ultra-suede that was treated to resist staining. Even pen and pencil came right off with soapy water and a toothbrush! I'm pretty sure we had two like this: http://www.la-z-boy.com/ourfurniture/product.aspx?pid=5148

We had always had Lazy Boys but for some strange reason our recliner love seat broke down and only my DDH and I used it. There were no kids in the house. After spending all that money on LazyBoy we started looking around and found a Lane recliner and then bought another love seat, not recliner type. The Lane is so much cheaper, the mechanism is easier - the LB worked hard and made strange sounds and this was in the store where they were trying to sell them! Now we have two Lane recliners in our family (living) room and DDH has one in the computer room where he sits in kingly solitude watch his movies in the evening. They are really great and we got 3 of the Lanes for little more than 1 Lazy Boy would have cost. Sold us!

I'm having problems with my back,I need one that is comfortable & have excellent stuffing.
The solid "stuffing" is what I want not the kind they blow in.The kind they blow in doesn't last & after a short time it feels like you are just sitting on covered ply wood.Thank all of you for helping me think this out. Thanks seed for the link with the picture,it looks comfy. Would love to get more comments-more the better.

my dp has to sleep in a recliner because of his back. LaZy-Boy all the way! they are the only ones that he's found that lock into place after he's all stretched out.

My DH has serious and unfixable back problems; after trying several Lazy Boys and all the others he has found he loves one called the Stressless Chair by Ekornes. Lots of different models and not cheap and not even attractive (my opinion) but this is the first chair he has EVER been comfortable in. It has been more than two years now and he is still in love with his chair.
It is worth every penny to me to have him comfortable - no complaining - LOL.

The one we had, that I showed actually had sheets of foam it it and stuff that sort of looked like carpet padding. That was the best furniture we ever had and held up well even adding a kid every other year until we had six. LOL

We also had the reclining love seat that worked more with a pulley system than the actual flip up recliner type. It was not as comfy as the chairs.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

The Stressless is by far my favorite recliner. Well constructed, nothing hidden under a bunch of fabric. Slept in it each night for a month or more after by-pass and was very comfortable. A very attractive chair too. (my opinion)lol Finally talked DW into getting one last Spring, and she also likes hers.

What store(s) carry the Stressless chair?

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Best to check with local furniture stores or on-line. They are carried by many different stores Mine came from Scandia and my DW's came from Erickson's Furniture. (The first a franchise store and the latter a family store.)

Phoenix, AZ

I own a Stressless and purchased it from Copenhagen (the store) They're around. Several in the San Francisco Bay Area. Here in Phoenix there are several. I have no idea where you live, christmascactus, but I suppose if you Google Copenhagen Furniture you'll find something. I love my chair. Broke my back in the '70s and its does me very well for relief and comfort. Its not 'cushy', just designed perfectly.

Robert, don't mean to hi-jack, but what kind of bypass surgery did you have, and how did the chair help?
