Couldnt figure out where to put this so it ended here - not a pet story but not wildlife either.
Over 100 horses were marooned on a tiny island in the Netherlands last month when there was a sudden severe storm. Although the water was not so deep they could not have got across they would not do so. After being fed for a few days by boat the water receded a bit and a few women rode out to the island and led the horses to safety. This video came to my attention on another site today. Get the kleenex and turn up the sound!

I haven't been around horses since I was 8 yrs old- but I've always loved and admired them.

I tell you, I cried like a baby, watching this. They are truly one of God's most magnificent creatures. I thank God that they were brought to safety.
