My morning

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

I have said it before but I will say it again: I REALLY HATE BATH GELS. I got in the shower (with my physical limitations isn't easy) washed my hair and went for my much loved Yardley Lavender bar and it wasn't there. I had to use that horrible bath gel sitting in the shower. I can think of nothing that isn't alive that I dislike more. Than my washer threw it's lid down on my poor little finger and it is now red and purple and black. My shoulder hurts because when I had a bone scan last week that d--n tech. pushed my arm up to hard and hurt it. It only took 3 month of steroid shots to fix it the last time. I spilled a sprite on my clean sheets, droped coffee grounds on the floor and found out my 14 year old granddaughter has been telling every boy she meets she is 18. I am thinking maybe I better sit in a chair the rest of the day. Now I feel better.

Argh, what a day. Hope that it gets better. I don't blame you about the bath gels!
Fingers crossed for GD- maybe an ad out in the paper that she is only 14!!?

That is an idea about the ad. She is a little handful. If you say it is blue she will swear it is green even if she said it was blue yesterday. Got to love her.

Makshi~ I have a funny story about my former neighbor's daughter was doing something similar, the boys at school knew she was in the 9th grade, elsewhere they didn't have a clue she was not 18. My neighbor found her hanging out at a local teen spot and went to visit her with another neighbor who was a police officer... yes he wore his uniform! She confronted her daughter and the cop explained the laws about statutory rape, etc to the young man. Can you imagine... THAT the word spread very quickly around town about that little chick! The DD was mortified, but we laughed our butts off whenever her Mom would reenact the scenario! BTW, hope you have a better day and a better shower experience tomorrow! ;0)

I love the way she handled her daughter. I can almost see the boy sitting there wishing he could disappear and the girl more than likely felt the same way. Children are so much harder to raise these days it seems to me.

Makshi~ I agree, it's a challenge because the world echoes instant grtification all day long! Instant grownup with the fashions, instant cool factor with the deorderant commercials, instant friends with Myspace.com, instant credit cards for kids and etc., etc.! BUT I am not handing over my pumpkins on a silver platter! So, even though their elementary friends have their own cellphone, absolutely NOT in our home! A few have their own credit cards, absolutely NOT! Some of their classmates dress like grown women on the street; skimpy, flesh baring and not long enough clothing, absolutely NOT for my girly pumpkins, their own tvs, own computers, own radios, and the list goes on ABSOLUTELY NOT!

You sound like you have it all in hand. I agree children have too many things that should be for grownups. I hate the pressure they put on them to grow up.

Makshi~ thanks for the vote of confidence, but I often feel like we're on a rollercoaster trying to minimize the crazies of instant gratification. Are you having a better morning, with lavender soap, I hope! ;0)

Morning is better with lavender soap and lots of coffee. I only drink 2 cups in the morning but without it I would not make it the day.

Mmmmm! that's a good start for a wonderful morning indeed! ;0)
