:) Secondary leaves on the seedlings!

Treviso, Italy(Zone 9a)

I never thought I would be able to get the lilium regale seeds to germinate...and here they are just beginning to show the first true leaves! wow!
I think I may have planted too many though...there are 51 seelings from 52 seeds and they seem to be doing really well! I cant believe that all I had to do was put them in a bit of potting soil and they would all come out. Amazing!
I am now wondering whether I shold do something or let them go on without messing with whatever is working for them?
I read somewhere that foliar feed at this point is good for them...should I spray some of the universal foliar feed I have?

What am I ever gonna do with all those lilies? Amazing stuff :)

Hi Viqarqada, Your post brought back memories to me off the first time I grew on that lily from seed. I too had an amazing strike and ended up with hundreds of them. This was o.k. for us because at that time we were growing cut flowers commercially. I just pricked out the seedling into beds and they got the same fertilizer and spraying regime as our main crop of Calla lilies.
They had one flower in the second year and then more on each plant each year until they had six or seven. These lilies bloom in the summer time here and are known as Christmas lilies and are a part of New Zealanders Christmas culture, so we sold every bloom, guess that selling them won't work for you as they will flower in your summer.
We sold that business and moven into town are now semi retired and these are the only Lilium Regale that we have now, I did have another site in which I had planted others but our dog decided to go digging and broke off all the growing tips.......grrrrrr.

But at least she didn't find this group and I will be able to smell their wonderful scent come Christmas.
