This was o.k. for us because at that time we were growing cut flowers commercially. I just pricked out the seedling into beds and they got the same fertilizer and spraying regime as our main crop of Calla lilies.
They had one flower in the second year and then more on each plant each year until they had six or seven. These lilies bloom in the summer time here and are known as Christmas lilies and are a part of New Zealanders Christmas culture, so we sold every bloom, guess that selling them won't work for you as they will flower in your summer.
We sold that business and moven into town are now semi retired and these are the only Lilium Regale that we have now, I did have another site in which I had planted others but our dog decided to go digging and broke off all the growing tips.......grrrrrr.

But at least she didn't find this group and I will be able to smell their wonderful scent come Christmas.
