How about a Lawn or Lawncare forum?

Great South Bay, Lon, NY(Zone 7a)

There seems to be a lot of traffic on the Grass and Bamboo forum on this topic, and it doesn't really apply to Ornamental Grasses or Bamboo.

I'm certainly willing, if there is indeed enough interest (and that the bamboo forum is already seeing much lawn discussion)

If it involves discussion on how to get rid of grasses/lawn, I'm all for it!

I'm with you, Bob, but a lot of gardeners (and my dog!) like sod grass.

I like "God's Take on Lawns" but I won't post it here. It's easily found using Google.

I think a seperation of ornamental grasses from bamboo would be good. I work in lawncare and have seen the unproductive arguements that take place in lawncare forums.

Actually, if the question is to separate lawncare from ornamental grasses, I'm all for it! They're really not related.

But I don't see a problem sharing a forum with ornamental grasses and bamboo. Or even "ornamental grasses, sedges, rushes, restios, cat-tails and selected bamboos" as Rick Darke succintly puts it. I actually expect those to share a forum.

It doesn't look like there's enough interest to support a separate forum.

Bah Humbug and Happy Holidays! ;>)

Maybe you could ask in a general forum? I get the impression this one is not as well-used as some of the others.

To clarify...this is the correct place to post the request for a new forum, but you may want to post a link to this thread in Grass/Bamboo if there was a lot of lawn discussion over there (if you haven't done this already...I don't follow that forum), or if there's another forum like general discussion where people now discuss lawn care stuff.

I posted a link in the Grass/Bamboo Forum, back when I started this thread. There just isn't enough interest. No problem. Grass/Bamboo is pretty slow anyway. It's like watching grass grow!

And it may be a seasonal thing - more folks might be interested in turf once things start greening up in the temperate regions of the northern hemisphere ;o)
