Problem with Plant Files

Dave, I've been adding some plants to Plant Files and when I'm finished, I click the link to return to the particular plants' page to 'Set the Details' and some have the link (as shown below).

And some DONT have that link. Is this a bug in the system? Why am I able to set details on some plant files and not on others?

Usually, when this happens, you scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "switch to live view" and you get the "set all details" link. If live view is not on you won't.

Farmer, thanks - just curious though, I've never toggled between live view and not, so why would this happen some of the time and not others? Any idea?

Nope, It may be switched on and off due to way a particular entry was submitted, but I never paid a lot of attention. If it does not come up I just switch it.

I've had that happen to me too where sometimes it shows set all details and sometimes it doesn't, I think it's just a random bug of some sort.

I am so glad to hear this for in all the plants and details I have added, I always did one detail then had to go back and then click on the next detail' back and forth for each one. Always thinking there must be a better way. Just in the last couple of weeks I finally saw "Set the Details." I was thinking I had just never noticed it before, giving myself a huge duh to me, so I am glad to hear it may be that it was never on the page before. There may be hope for me after all.

It's not you Sweetie, some times that link is there and other times not. I never could figure out what determines weather it shows up or not. BUT thanks to the Farmer, we can stop doing one at a time! LOL.

If I'm not mistaken, the link appears for a period of time right after you create an entry. After that, it only appears if you click on "switch to live view". I can't tell you exactly how long the duration is, though ;o)

sometimes not at all Terry. I've listed some and as soon as I see the new link to the file, I click it and either it's there or not there.

I've also had it not show up even right after I created an entry--most of the time it will but every once in a while it doesn't.
