No notification

I am not being notified on my Home page when someone replies to a posted image thread in the PF Pictures forum. I have to go to my personal info page and click on 'threads started by xenomorf' and look to see if there have been any replies to any of my PF Pictures.
This has been going on for some time now, at least as far back as when you decided to have the automatic image posting into the PF Pictures forum for Ubers only. (Instead of going into the queue)

I wasn'y aware of it until I read your post, but the same applies to me. I just searched back through my 'threads started by kennedyh' and found several replies commenting on images I have posted to PlantFiles and I was unaware of them until now. They are not being notified on my Home page as threads to which there have been replies.
I checked my list of watched threads and they are present in that list.

I think that this would only affect those threads you created several years ago or earlier.

If it's happened on a newer thread, could you give me a link to one specifically that you are not watching, but that should have been auto-watched?

I haven't checked on any older threads (months or years), I've only noticed it on newer threads (of PF photos) that have just been uploaded within the last few days or weeks.
I was under the impression that all newly uploaded and older PF picture threads were automatically switched to auto-watch. I've checked to see if they are being "watched', and they are.

As an experiment, you could try replying to one of the new image threads that I've created in the last 2 or 3 days, and I'll see if it pops up a notification.

Both of those two threads you gave are already in your thread watcher. Are there any that you created that, when you go into them, say "Watch this thread" at the top? That would indicate it's not auto-watched.

I just checked the last 100 threads, and they all say "Unwatch thread". None say "Watch Thread"

Xenomorf, I just posted to one of those you linked to above. Hopefully the update/notice will appear on your home page.

"PF Pictures: Turbinicarpus (Turbinicarpus viereckii)" just popped up.
Try a thread that I created today or yesterday in the PF picture forum

done - hopefully it'll pop up, too!

OK, "PF Pictures: Ferocactus (Ferocactus pottsi)" just popped up.....It's working now.

Happy to help - it sounds like it's all fixed (sure hope so, anyway!)

I'm so impressed on the efficiency of this site. Every question and problem is handled so quickly. I don't think any of you sleep a wink. It is a pleasure to view this site. In fact, I spend many hours a day when I should be working in the yard. I don't know when it started, but THANK YOU for doing it.
