What's Growing - Part 11 -Fall's Upon Us!

Aly, I think bulbs make that false start fairly often. They also seem to recover from it without a problem.

I have nasturtiums coming up strong.
Great Halloween color. I've had good luck planting seeds late in the season, June and July for a good fall show. When some people have asked what to plant with fall pansies nasturtiums seem to be a good companion. The 1st heavy frost will kill them though unlike the winter pansies. We had a wonderful 70 degree day yesterday.

I still have rose impatients growing along with my favorite ground cover, wood phlox "Montrose Tricolor."

pegdog, if you're still following, this bunch will definitely have you laughing and coming back for more.

Haven't checked in lately, not too much to report - hoping to participate more when the colder temps start driving me indoors!

NotDave - since I'm a little late catching up here - thank you for the morning chuckle :) From 10/24:

"Andy, I would prefer yours because Al's are too blurry. I don't like the blurry variety as much"

Debbie - I have more blurry flowers to choose from if you didn't like those.

Al,
Tuber question for der tubermeister. Do you divide large, tubors now or in the spring or is it optional?

Dave - it's optional. It probably is easier to see the eyes in the spring. If it's easier to store them divided then that's fine too.

Thank you!!
