Can someone take a pic of the name tags and post it? Mine flew out the window and I want to make up something for our RU this weekend.
Dallas Plant Swap ( The People )
Hello Nada, it so happens that we had 25 left, so i can bring those. Do you think 25 will be enough?
I may be getting there later than others since we live farther away, I will take the picture and post it tomrrow.
Josephine.

ok Lady Gold.. reuben dip receipe please! That stuff was awesome!
Frostweek - I'm so glad you posted these pictures. I love being able to put faces with these wonderful people!
Frostweed - Thanks for posting the pictures and telling those
of us who couldn't be there of what went on.
I'm new down here, don't know anybody who could drive me, so
wasn't able to come, but I see everyone's name in the threads and
it's really nice to see who's who.
ME TOO - I want to see that recipe. I'm really partial to food. :o)
I wish I had known... I went right through NRH on my way to the RU/
Well, folks, this was my very first plan swap and now I'm afraid ... you're stuck with me! :-)
Josephine is right, I really lucked out on the door prizes. I'd like to say a huge "Thank You" to whoever brought the greenhouse. It is *exactly* what I need this winter to keep my seedlings and new cuttings safe from my 5 non-plant friendly cats.
Mitch, the Hibiscus you won as a door prize is a lovely deep red bloomer. Give him a drink every couple of days and he'll give you no problems. I knew he wouldn't survive the winter indoors with above-mentioned cats.
I want to say 'thank you' to everyone that I received plants from. But I also want to say 'thank you' to everyone I met on Sunday. Y'all were so friendly and so gracious. I received lots of good plants, but I also received lots of good plant advice and recommendations, which to a newbie like me is invaluable.
Carla
Josephine,
Thank you and Frank for posting the pictures. I had the most wonderful time meeting everyone, swapping plants and receiving advice, and am already looking forward to the next swap. The food was excellent, and everyone I met was just wonderful. Hope to see many of you again in Collage Station.
Ooops, forgot my tray, no big deal. I was going back to the pavilion to say final good-byes when my daughter reminded me that it was also my husbands birthday, ( not that I had forgot, I was just enjoying myself and not thinking about the time.) I was halfway to Dallas before I remembered the tray.
BTW, I followed your recommendation regarding the seeds for Eve's Necklace, and I'm trying once again to germinate some. I hope you enjoy the Byzantine glads.
Dawn
Josephine and Frank, Robert and I enjoyed seeing the photos (he brought his camera, but he still tires easily and just did not get it out this time), and all of you planners and hosts did a great job. It's just a few weeks until College Station, and we are looking forward to seeing many of you again.
I've started my list of plants I have promised, and I know I told several of you I would bring liatris for you. Please d-mail or post and remind me. I did not make a list at the time, and I can't remember everyone. I have access to all anybody could want, so if anyone wants some, let me know. It can grow in caliche or good soil, with water or without and blooms short or tall depending on conditions. Mine received more water than those in the wild this year and had bloom stalks 3' tall with at least 18" of flowers. They add spectacular color to a fall garden.
I will definitely have my plants presorted for the next RU as I missed getting to visit with several new faces. It was good to see so many young gardeners and their beautiful children, including Gina!
I was very lucky to win the Eve's necklace tree! We received a much needed and much appreciated 2 1/2" of rain during the night and early morning, so digging a hole for the tree will now be possible.
Patricia

If you still want to know what the ID tags looked like, it just so happens that Marylyn put a pic on the CS thread just yesterday. Here is the link, look near the end.

Sylvia, a lot of the pics were dark due to the shade, but I am working on getting some ready to post. Also, I have more Shasta's and will bring you a pot at CS RU. I had a tray on the table that Karen said she wanted and I told her to give others some of them to others if they asked. It was such a crazy time, I forgot to tell you, sorry.
Debness, I have three little cats munching away on my Rue you gave me! They just hatched yesterday! Hope to get some pictures. Thanks again if I didn't already tell you!!
Sheila

I still react to cats munching plants! My cats (felines) ate my cat thyme to the nub and its demise, even after I hid it upstairs where they are not allowed. They have rolled and loved on the cat mint until it is gone. So cats and plants don't play nice together around here. I have my passion vine and "cats" in the greenhouse and hope to have butterflies soon. Can I keep them in the greenhouse this winter? What do I need to provide or grow for them if I can?
I'm glad Sheila!!
Hope they grow well for ya!
Deb
ROFL!! Sylvia ..Priceless!
I enjoyed looking at all the Swap pictures! Thanks so much for posting them. I can see that everybody had such a good time. ;)
Lin
My Goodness you guys and gals sure had a big swap. Bet you all had fun. Fran
Well Fran~
If you feel like packing there is another RU in College Station next month, and "Dave" will be at that one.
:oD
It was nice to see everyone this weekend. I didn't get to meet everyone although I might have seen you. I came home with quite a few nice new things that I'm looking forward to growing. I came home with too much of my own stuff tho! No more sitting at the tables at the next swap. We need to have more moving around and actually taking stuff!
Josephine, thank you so much for the things you saved for me. I can't wait to plant these! I think I'll keep the BOP in a pot so that I can bring it inside in the winter since it is so small.
Thank you to everyone else for everything else!
Bob, better known as Rob, was tuckered out, but he's getting stronger every day. That's a good picture! Ted, the cannas are finally all potted. Do you have any left in your garden at all? You are a very generous person! You have made a coleus nut out of me too. I brought my beauties from the spring swap in this afternoon and will find room in the sunroom for them this winter. I have spots out of the direct sun that should make them happy. The new babies are in the greenhouse for now. It's supposed to be down in the 40's tomorrow night. Brrrr, but it's about time.
Rob plenty left where they came from. Have six more varieites for next swap. Brought all my babies in for a few days until get a warm spell. Got to take cuttings of everything as I do not have room. ted
Not sure if this will work, but here is the pictures that City_Sylvia took with my camera.

Ted, that is a very good picture of Bob!

Love those too - we just take some great photos...
Thank you for doing those Sheila and Sylvia. Very good.
Josephine.
This one spreads in full sun with little water too... just had to try one and it made it there, still bloomed all summer.
Josephine - any idea what the plant covered in white flowers right now is? Looks like an aster and I have it on the chart from you...
For some reason my blue mist didn't show up until september. I was afraid it had completely gone. I had loads of it last year and the butterflies went crazy over it. But right now I only have one small place where they came up. Anyone know what they 'don't' like so maybe I can make sure I don't do that?
Mitch, it is probably the Heath aster, Aster ericoides, aren't they neat?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paige, that is a lovely picture of the mist flower, you really have a neat garden.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nada, I don't know what the mist flower doessn't like, but I know the like plenty of water.
Josephine.
that may be the problem then... It is in a bed of stuff that I don't water hardly at all. I guess I just might have to move it.
*sigh* my beautiful blue mist hardly made it alive thru the summer....Only half of it has managed to hang on...such a shame.. : /
Great photos....! Thanks for posting all of those, guys. Wish I could have gone as well....
Melanie
That is a shame Melanie! It's such a great plant. Do you want some more? I can send you a small piece that is already rooted. It won't take long to spread. Just d-mail me!
Paige
Heath Aster - a stunning plant... reminds Esther of wedding flowers.
Blue Mist... I have some in a dryish area that might do better for you if you want some cuttings.
aww....ya'll are so incredibly sweet.. :) I think I'll see how this lone little half fares for the rest of the fall.....before I put another at risk, lol. But thank you for your generous offer... :)
Melanie ---
There are cuttings here if you are ever ready...
Mitch has LOTS of stuff.... you should have seen all the bootty he carried home from the Dallas swap! *g
lol...Nada... Thanks Mitch.. :)
oh you should come over here... one of this and one of that most to small right now for more then one cutting .. that might be that I keep cutting them ... ummm
