Dallas Plant Swap ( The People )

We had a beautiful day, and 29 people attended, it was great to see old friends and meet new ones.
The food was great, and the door prizes were a lot of fun, some of them really good ones.
We had plants coming out of our ears, as usual, and everybody went home with as much as they brought, or more.
It was a lot of work, but definately worth it.

Here is Ted with his prize, he brought the chiken, and a lot of plants. He was good enough to help everybody bring their plants in his cart to the pavillion, what would we have done without you Ted? You are the sweetest.

And here is Mitch with his prize, a beautiful Hibiscus, he helped a lot too with the plants and the organizing.

Actually Mitch won two prizes, here is with the bird feeder he won.

Our dear Adeline Posie4u, with her prize, she was in charge of name tags and greeting. I don,t know if you brought something to eat, it is not written down and I just don,t know but thank you if you did, and thank you for helping with the greeting.

Here is Carla, Loonie1 with her door prize, she really made out like a bandit, won a fountain and a small greenhouse.

Here she is with the fountain. She brought the pasta salad, thak you Carla it was nice to meet you.

Cynthia, Loveshercowdog, with her prize,( sorry about the lighting Cynthia ) She brought the scented geranium cake, excellent and very unusual.

Siggy's daughter with her prize, I am sorry didn't catch her name, isin't she adorable?

Nada's friend fron San Antonio, with her prize, sorry didn't get her name either.

Liz, Ladygold, with her prize, we also met her for the first time. She brought a very tasty and unusual reuben dip, and everyone raved about it.

Here is Debness's daughter with her prize, what a lovely young lady!!! and so sweet too.

And here is Stacey, Sweezel, with her hat, sorry about the lighting too, such an adorable girl, this picture doesn't do her justice. She brought a wonderful salsa and chips.

Here is City_ Sylvia with her prize, sitting with Adeline Debness's husband and daughter.
Sylvia brought the most wonderful barbeque pork, buns and salsa. She also helped with the name tags and greeting. Thank you Sylvia, you are such a sweetheart.

Here is Debness with her prize, and Mitch, she won a figurine that Nada made, very lovely indeed.
Deb brought the most wonderful garlic herb bread, and helped Sheila with the door prizes.
We also met her for the first time, thank you Deb!!

Indirt's daughter with her prize, what a lovely young lady!!!!

Just me, a very happy and excited person.

Indirt, Deb, with her prize, she broughr the most wonderful chocolate tort, it was so rich, some were calling it death by chocolate. Thank you Deb, we also met her for the first time, she brought some very neat plants from her ranch.

Renatelynne, Nada with her prize, and Sheila next to her. She came from San Antonio and brought a big batch of delecious chicken salad sandwiches. We will be going to her place this coming Sunday, for another R.U.

Karen, Dkarenone, with her prize, we also met her for the first time. She brought a great salad.

Here is Paige, Konkretblonde with her prize, She had some lovely plants and did a butterfly release, which I missed because I was too busy.

She broughr the most wonderful brownies, wow!!! By the way we have your tray here, which you left behind, we are holding it for you, but we are keeping the brownies.

Here is Patricia, Patrob, with her prize, a beautiful 6 foot Eve,s necklace tree, how lucky can you get?
She brought two amazing chocolate pecan pies that she made herself, and came all the way from their ranch in the hill country with lovely native plants, thank you so much Pat, you are one super lady.

Tobydmv with Debness, we met him and his wife for the first time also.

Sheila on the right with her neighbor, she organized the door prizes and was a great help, in spite of the fact that she is not totally recovered yet. She brought the silverware, and a lovely fruit salad. I didn't see you with a prize Sheila, did you not get one?

Linda, Sugarfoot on the right, from Granbury made a surprise appearance, and we were very happy to see her, she brought some rolls, and a lot of neat plants ans seeds. Thank you Linda, it was great to see you.

Great job on the pictures Josephine and Frank!! I did get a door prize, the cast iron frog that DawninTX brought. I collect frogs so it was perfect for me!! Also Toby's wife Amanda and the dog Gina are in your last picture on the right. They were missing during the door prize time, walking Gina in the park. Great time was had by all. We met a lot of new friends at this swap. Hope you all will consider coming to the Statewide RU in College Station next month, and meet "the Dave of DG".

we sure do want to see all of you here next year - with more plants... I ran out of cuttings way too fast this year so I need to start early next year. So many did not make it with the heat.

Well, I just knew that I would forget something, how come I don't have a picture of Sheila with her frog?
I remember it now, it is really cute, and Dawnin's daughter said it is called a ( sapo ) in spanish, I guess I got distracted and didn't take a picture.

Sheila you left a whole box of plastic ware that we are saving for you.

Sylvia you left all the mailing tags that Mich brought for you, we are holding that for you too.

There are already people who have dmailed me ready for the next one! They might have missed this one but they wanted to know if there was going to be a spring one too?
