I'm bringing a bit of variety of plants myself and will post my list here soon. :)

November 4th College Station roundup TRADELISTS!
I will bring,
Tasty, Pretty Onions, that have tasty spicy flowers, strong onion roots, nice greens, and the base of the bloom stalk has the most wonderfull floral onion taste ever. Oh yes, these guys keep making more onions from the root all but for about two months in summer when they go dormant and can survive total neglect. Out of the 75 varieties of edible allium I grew this last year, this is my favorite.
Bob
Bob, how about vermiculite? I want to get it ordered ahead of time so I will be sure to have what you & Ted want this time.
Also, can you put my name on a few of those fancy onions? I have onions for breakfast every morning & those sound delicious.
PLEASE CHECK MY POST FURTHER DOWN THE LIST.

For sure, Smokette I have onions for you!
Bob
Have:
some orange cosmos seedlings.....volunteers that are coming up in the bed
a couple daylilies, I've got some 'Baja'
a couple really small banana pups, haven't dug these yet
passion vine (Incense, Lady Lavender, Lady Margeret) and thunbergia grandiflora, got loads of these on my fence - didn't get any of this rooted so they will be fresh cuttings
some seeds of red TX star hibiscus and Hibiscus calyphyllus
Edited to add:
an abundance of cannas if anyone happens to want some
some bromeliad pups (not hardy I don't think, pretty pink and purple flower, had it outside and will be digging it up)
Edited again to add that I have one large Hibiscus acetosella if someone is interested. I don't have room for it. It's almost as tall as me right now, they grow quick. Should be hardy here.
Also a few hoyas if anyone is interested, I know these aren't outdoor plants but I just brought mine in and have a few extras I discovered.
Also have lots of seeds for a purple morning glory
Patrob, if you have any more of the liatris mucronata I'd be interested. - Thanks!!
Edited again to add that I can take fresh, unrooted cuttings of the following:
passion vine (Incense, Lady Lavender, Lady Margeret)
thunbergia grandiflora
double peach tropical hibiscus
pink perennial hibiscus (dinnerplate variety, large pink flowers with red eye)
pink salvia (can't find tag)
lady in red salvia
red turk's cap (probably can spare only one cutting of this)
blue plumbago
musical notes clerodendrum (also only one or two cuttings of this)
Also have potted up:
1 tall purple perennial ruellia
1 cardomom ginger
1 daylily (can't remember which one I pulled this from, already rooted, could be 'Baja' or unknown peach bloom)
Also have pups of a purple succulent, makes a nice hanging basket as the pups hang down like the babies of a spider plant. Can't remember the name though.
Thanks, Kim

Hi Kim, I am interested in your hoya's, hibiscus acetosella, thunbergia grandiflora, bromeliad and passion vines...
Thanks, Trishann
Hi Trishann! I've got you down for those. I saw on the other thread that you had some birdhouses you might bring. Perhaps I could put my name in for one of those?
Thanks, Kim
Smockette, I would love to get some of the vermiculite if it isn't too late. Last year you had small zip lock bags. I would like whatever is equal to about a dozen (give or take) of those. I don't have plants listed yet, but let me know what you need for it.
Sheila, I am bringing gallon ziplocks or if you are like Throneofyord, I can bring you a big bag. Big bags are $14.50 & 4 cu ft. LMK
Let me go ahead and order one of the large ones then. That will last me a long time. I don't plan on stopping potting plants anytime soon. LOL! Thanks
Hey Kim,
Thanks alot!!! I have you down for a birdhouse.. I will have a few other plants to trade too....
Trishann

out in the great unknown is a post from me asking directions from Fry Road, Houston to the Pavillion in CS.
All I can find out is to go to Hwy 290, take Hwy 6 and go to College Station. Where do I go from there? I doubt that I will be able to come as DDH won't come because we are expecting relatives who will be using our house as a B&B while they go to the Renaissance Festival and he feels that someone should be waiting here until they decide to come "home". Google didn't help me - just gave me a map showing some FM roads but not the final destination.
Ann
Hello!
From Hwy 6, take the Rock Prairie exit and go left on Rock Prairie Rd. You will pass some businesses and a hospital, the park will be on your left. You have to drive in a little to get to the pavilion from the entrance. Hope that helps some.

Smockette......I would love to take a look at your cacti and succulents! Would you be interested in any others? I potted up some haworthia and aloe pups about a month ago. I'd also be interested in your castor bean, white shrimp plant, and white skyflower vine if there is something I could bring you. Unfortunately I don't have much ready right now but I am in the process of trying to root some things for spring. Or I could get you some fresh cuttings. If you would like to take a look at my list tomorrow, I'll update it with what I can cut from.
Thanks! Kim
Kim, Sassy is bringing the cactus & succulents. You will have to talk to her.
Smock is bringing the white Shrimp. I'll tell them both to put you on their lists.
I'm bringing the Castor Beans. They are in 1g pots & are about a foot tall. One, now, has your name on it!
The white Skyflower Vine will be fresh cut, Friday, as I leave the Farm.
I'll add you to my list tomorrow, as I left it @ the Farm, Friday, when I was leaving for home. Just to much on my mind, trying to figure out how to get home & going around all the flood waters. It took me 2 & a half hrs to get to work Fri morning b/c of flooding!

Smockette.....sounds great to me! Thanks for letting them know. Also, I think you also had me down for a desert trumpet vine cutting I think. And goodness....be careful around those flood waters. We had the same problem here with all those rains a week or so ago. One of my labmates was completely surrounded at her home, couldn't even leave the house there was so much water. She was in Snook. My backyard was flooded but thankfully that was all here.
ms_merae....got you down for the hibiscus and morning glory seeds. I'd love some seeds of your heirloom tomatoes that do well in TX heat, and your cucumbers. Also would be interested in your bouganvillas.
Thanks everyone!
Kim
Oh, I forgot to add that if anyone has a willow tree they could take some cuttings from, I would love to have a couple.
Thanks! Kim
Thanks, B_E for the directions. Sure hope I can make it.
Ann
I have a nice willow that grows straight up about 10 to 15 feet the first year. Willow does best when you harvest it right when it is budding but before leaves come out. Since I am local, I can give you a bunch early this spring. 2 out of three 1' long 1/2 to 1" diameter sticks stuck in the ground become trees for me as long as I have 2 intact buds below the ground and 2 above. If anyone wants it now, I can spare them, but early spring is the best time.
Bob
Throne, put me down for your Spring CSRU. Now, I know it is a ways off, but I would rather follow your suggestion for the best time!
Thanks,
:~)
Bob....I'd actually like to try some now if possible, I don't want any willow trees actually but I do want to use the water they are rooting in for trying to root some other things. This was suggested before and I've got some passion vine I'm having trouble rooting. Since willow water was recommended, I'd like to try it before the vines frost.
Thanks! Kim
Trishann and Ms-merae, I have reserved the plants you asked for both of you.
Josephine.
I'm bringing a few things myself to trade/give away. If anything looks good to you, let me know and I'll make sure to set one aside for you!
Upright Elephant Ears (nice size plants)
Canna musifolia - grows to 12' tall or more.
Crepe Myrtle 'Dynamite' - a beautiful cultivar of deep red blooms. These are rooted in 4" pots.
Vitex (also rooted in 4" pots)
Clerodendron
Agaves - I have common large green untoothed agave americanas from Kerrville. Also I might have some blue toothed agaves.
Salvia greggii 'Teresa' - have a couple in 1 gallon pots.
I might have some exotic zone 11 tropicals from Hawaii - I'll bring 'em if I dig them in time.
If anyone has any caesalpinias I would be grateful. A Vigna caracalla (corkscrew vine) would also be great. I know both of these are kind of hard to come by.
I'm looking forward to this roundup!
dave
Dave, could I have some of your ears? Now, doesn't that sound strange? :~)
And one of your cannas? Please, please, please!
Ck my list above for swap or gifts!
dave, may I claim a vitex?
Dave...I would be interested in your salvia greggii teresa, clerodendrum, and vitex. Also curious as to what tropicals you've got. Please see if there is anything I can offer you.
Thanks! Kim
DDH and I am coming. I will bring about 6 Pride of Barbados seeds (All I could find - will have tiny plants if there is a spring RU) A very small quantity of seeds for that red vine that I can't remember the name of, cuttings of unnamed pale pink plumeria and seeds + seeds from different unnamed plumeria - also pink w/pink edging on each petal, Katie ruella, rooted cuttings of chartreuse potato plant and a "potato". Can cut branches from various Hibiscus if someone wants to try rooting them. None of these have a name that I am aware of as I inherited them when we bought the house - some double, most single, one Chinese type blossom that hangs down and the foliage used to be varigated but has since reverted, mostly. Most are red or dark pink, 1 is double apricot/peach (whatever). Have avocado seeds if anyone is interested. Seeds for Candlestick Tree. If anyone is interested I can dig some seedlings of cosmos - yellow or orange, mixed because that is the way I sowed them. Also, have Mother-in-Laws tongue,& aloe vera plants, pencil cactus cuttings. All to give away but if anyone has something I spy that I want and you have plenty to give will do a trade. The morning glory sounds interesting if there are any left. If anyone has extra vines, almost anything , would like a small plant or seeds.
See you Sat.
Ann
Ann.....if you would like some morning glory seeds I will put you down for some. I'd be interested in some hibiscus cuttings...I'll let you choose which ones. Also would love to try a plumeria cutting....I've never had one of these but always wanted to try one.
:) Kim
Will bring some hibiscus cuttings, then and a plumeria cutting has your name on it , BE. Save me a few MG seeds.
Ann
Sure thing! The vine is loaded with pods so I can get you a bunch. Thanks so much!
Kim
