* DG ADMIN * Why the 'blank spaces' ?

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

While taking a peek in Plantfiles .. to see if there were any vacant slots {plant listings with no images posted} .. of which I may could try to accommodate a remedy or two - - I encountered several groups of horizontal blank spaces.

* NOTE: a Screen-Capture image [is below] for any assist *

I'd considered that these vacant spaces were perhaps deliberately placed, to allow for any (future) alphabetical listings that may would 'go' in between any of the current plants {those listed in my search}. However, {that} doesn't appear to be the case.

With a bit further exploration .. and given that my particular search was for plants with 'no images': perhaps these 'blank spaces' are the slots where plants are indeed already listed (with images) - but didn't show, merely because of my particular search request -?-

* * Dave, Terry, (Plant Files Administration) * * Any assist in settling my curiousity .. is most graciously appreciated.

It is where entries were deleted, but the system hasn't completely erased them from its memory (for lack of a better way to explain it.) At some point - hopefully soon - the blank spaces will disappear permanently.

* Thank you so much, Terry .. for your prompt reply and relieving my spontaneous curiosity ...

Certainly explains it very well for me.
