How to add photo to a newly listed plant?

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I just added a new plant to the plant database but there is no where to add a photo to it. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks,
Jesse

PlantC- at the bottom of the plant files page for the plant you entered there should be a box marked "your actions" and within it a link that says "upload an image".

Scroll down through the entry. There will be a zip code box...this is a big help to folks, so please check it off.

You'll get s 'success' page, click to go back to the plant. Scroll down past the zip code thing, there will be a box asking for other info....'add a comment' and 'upload an image' are two choices. Click on which ever one you'd like to do first....we'd like to see both of these fields completed. Follow the instructions for the image posting...it's easy, and very similar to posting an image here on the forums....posting the comment is the same too...there's a check box on the comment part where we ask that you rate the plant according to your experience with it.

If you have any questions or trouble at all...please D-mail me and I'll help you...we love to see folks contribute to PlantFiles...and will help anyone who wishes to have assistance.

I have just started putting info into the PlantFiles so I'm still very new at it. I have a question about the zip code box. Does this mean that it will grow outside in my zip code or can it be talking about growing it inside as a houseplant or just outside year round? Thanks.

Generally speaking, I use the zip code report to let folks know that it will grow outside. Sometimes annuals and tender perennials are included too, but I make sure to note in my comment that they are not frost hardy and measures should be taken to protect them if growing in cooler zones.

Shout if you need help....If I don't know the answer, I'll find someone who does.
