Useful Links?

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Am I the only one who, all of the sudden, has a tab in the top right hand corner of the screen that says, "useful links"? Where did this come from and when did it get there?

It sounds like you have a virus or spyware installed on your computer. :( If you're using Internet Explorer, please switch to Firefox immediately to help prevent this from happening in the future.

Thanks, Dave. I will run some scans on my PC and see what I find. I will try Firefox again. I'm just not one for change, ya know. LOL

Ok Dave, I hope you're still watching this thread. I made the switch to Firefox right after this problem with IE. Just the other day I started having problems with Firefox.......I posted in the Electronics forum to try to get some help, but nothing has been posted there yet, so I'm going to ask the same thing here.

A few weeks ago I switched my web browser to Firefox. I do like it, although it's taken some getting used to. I was doing just fine with it until today when, suddenly, my scroll wheel on my mouse won't work in it. It will work in any other program I have tried it in, but not in Firefox. Any ideas out there as to why this is happening? I just downloaded the newest version of FF thinking that this might help, but it didn't. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

I think you should probably post in Computer Talk, not Electronics if you want help with questions like this.

Hmmm....I thought I looked for Computer Talk and couldn't find it. I saw some threads in Electronics that I thought sounded like they had to do with computers so I thought it was good enough. Thank you, I will go look again for Computer Talk.

It's on the "Home Talk" tab under Leisurely pursuits. Electronics would probably be the right place if you were wanting advice on what computer to buy, etc but I think Computer Talk is the right place if you're having problems with web browsers, etc.

Well, yes, I agree, I just couldn't find computer talk before when I was trying to post the question. I have found it now though and started a thread. Thanks again.
