DG member on "Torches Across America" mcycle ride

Hi - just want to let everyone know that my sister, SacValley, her DH, and others, started their trip across America by motorcycle...They left from California; it's a Memorial ride for the 9-11 victims. You can follow them across America on the site: www.torchesacrossamerica.com. Other cyclists will join them as they cross the US...If I remember, they are due in NewYork on Sept. 9th...Jo does stained glass and I think that's where she most often posts...

What a great ride! They took the northern route throug Arizona...so they did not come through where I live. I'm just off I-10....southern route. I wish them a very good trip. Jo

Some wonderful photos being posted & displayed already.

The web link, for the Slide-Show .. provides some great shots! Significant dedication and artistry went into the creation of the plaques! The fellow wearing the 'T' with the list of the current hosts and escorts caught my attention ..

Quite a caravan of various bikes & rigs .. And, a fantastic meal prepared in Kingman, AZ for the crew! Sure luv'd the U.S. Flag cake, too!

Hello - my sister, (SacValley) jo, just called from the Flight 93 Memorial site. The motorcycle trip, Torches Across America, ended there today. President Bush was there and she said it has been an awesome trip. Over 1000 motorcycles rode, with an escort, into New York City. She says they've ridden 3,200 miles to date, and will start back to California after a trip up to Maine. Thanks to you all for the kind thoughts -
