Try soaking it in one of the enzymatic solutions, like Simple Solution or Nature's Miracle. It gets out urine. It should work on blood.

When I have such an issue with whites, I spray SHOUT on them, leave
them overnight, then squirt the spot with Clorox Clean-Up and immediately
toss it into the hot wash with bleach.

Presto!

Peroxide works, but you have to apply it full strength, and then blot with a cloth until the stain is gone.

liquid Oxy Clean works well for me

'Tide to go'.......it's easy to carry ....."Wherever you go, there's Tide to go",
..that commercial with Kelli Rippa (sp)?

If it's just a little,...your own saliva will work. Yep, kinda icky, but quilters know that if they drop a bit of blood on a quilt from a needle stick, to chew on a piece of thread till it's wet, then put it on the blood spot. It will draw the blood right out.

Soaking a bigger spot in milk will work too...has enzymes that break down the blood. But this only works if it's fairly fresh, and hasn't been through a laundry cycle.

If it's been through a laundry cycle, the methods that have been suggested and that you are using are probably best.

My dd hooked me up with a product called Zout. It works wonders on blood as well as many other stains. Grass stain has always been a toughy and Zout gets it out.
