Saving the Parc Saint Blancard

I have become involved in a campaign to save a lovely (though currently neglected) C19th chateau parc from being lost to holiday accommodation development. We urgently need signatures on a petition. All the details are on the website, which has a page in english.

What a beautiful place, philomel. And a great campaign to save it! I hope that they see the light and save that park!

As you probably saw from the website, the chateau is protected but not the parc. It would be wonderful if they could be restored as a whole. It seems such a shame to save one without the other.

It seems nowhere is safe from the ravages of development. I signed the petition and sent a message this morning. How long before you know whether the chateau lands are safe?

I think they should let us know if there will be a moritorium while we gather more evidence sometime during september. I'll keep you updated on this thread.
