A silly fashion question

The ankle bracelet I can remove. I've decided that's not a problem. Removing the toe ring will involve having it cut off. It's gold with a diamond inset, and I've had it long enough for my toes to get just fat enough that it won't come off anymore. It's not one of those bendable kind that's split and you can bend it to get it off. It's solid, like a regular ring.

Wuvie, inappropriate attire is everywhere! And modesty? I had a dear friend who used to do catering and she did a big funeral and asked an acquaintance to help. The gal showed up in some outfit that Kathy said looked like a bar maid. Cleavage, short tight skirt and well over 60! Time to bring back Emily Post et al.

Removal of the toe ring sounds like something that eventually would need to be done anyway. Now seems like a good time to do it.

Nah, don't get rid of the toe ring. It's fun and sounds like a nice one.

I'm not willing to have the toe ring cut off at this point, no more than I would have my wedding rings cut off now. If I have to I'll buy different shoes that aren't open toed.

I don't mean that she should get rid of it forever...just for a formal wedding where she's wearing dressy toeless shoes. It can be enlarged and still worn after the wedding.

Good solution, Joan; a closed-toe shoe would solve your fashion dilemma. But you still might want to have it cut off at some point in case it becomes uncomfortably tight and cuts off the circulation to your toe. As I said, it's not as if you're throwing it away; you'd just have it enlarged to a comfy size.

If anyone is still watching this thread, we made it through the wedding and are now back home again. Phwew!

I asked the bride on Thursday what her thoughts were on this topic. She said if I wore pantyhose she would disown me. LOL She said definitely to wear the ankle bracelet and toe ring. She said she was not taking hers off either, and neither were some of the bridesmaids.

So, that's the way I went. The only part that made me giggle was during pictures, and the photographer asked me to stick my left foot out a bit so my foot would show. Huh?!?!?! I immediately had flashbacks to this thread, where we discussed that nobody would be paying attention to my feet anyway, and now they want it in the pictures? LOL
I haven't seen the pictures yet though.

Thanks for all your advice and letting me air my problem. Everything turned out well.

It might be awhile before I get to see the pictures, since they are on a honeymoon and then will go back home, which is over 300 miles from us. Brandy said she would definitely bring the pictures when they come back again, and I can pick out the ones I want reprints of.

'Chele, yep, she's a keeper alright. :)
