cegoins - The plants in your photo are Ipomoea purpurea and on the same exact stalk the held the flower, there will develop seedpods that will look like the picture here
http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/31407/
this will let you know when the seedpods are ripe and ready to harvest...

Hi. So so sorry I have fallen off the face of the earth. My life is so hectic right now. My 5 yr old started school, my grandma is not doing well, and I have started working part time out of the home. I feel like my life isn't a whirlwind...it's a tornado!

I am saving the seeds. I bought little paper envelopes and husked the seeds and divided them. I need to go buy stamps. I have been so darn busy that the stamps I've used to pay the bills are stamps I found when I cleaned out my grandma's room at her old care facility. I've resorted to gluing 1, 3, and 5 cent stamps on envelopes along with 32 cent stamps, etc. to have enough postage!

I will try my best to get these out quickly!

Sorry for the long wait everyone and thanks for your patience!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Would it help if I sent postage? I will be happy to send some stamps if it will help you. Did you get your sunflower seeds yet? Please let me know on both issues. I know how hectic it can get with young children and grandparents. So if you need me to send the stamps please let me know. Just take a ddep breath, and realize you can only do what you can do and don't beat yourself up for not being SUPERWOMAN!

I would also be more than happy to send SASBE, then all you have to do is throw a few seeds in there and not worry about it. Your only job would be to collect the seeds. You have enough on your plate right now. Please let us know!! and send your address.

I will be more than happy to send a envelope with return postage as well.
Can get it out today, if this works for you. Is your address in the addy?

Croclover, thanks for the pics of Ms Monster. Delightful. Yes I dmailed my address to you with my tongue hanging out. Hope I am not too late. Frank

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Like the others, I can send a SASBE. Also, if you need any kind of postage supplies like padded envelopes or bubble wrap, just let me know. I can get my grubby paws on plenty!

Clatskanie, OR(Zone 9b)

I will look for a blue poppy for you. It is called Meconopsis betonicifolia. Very tricky.
It hates root disturbance, the short cut is to locate a nursery that carries them in the
spring. I have seen some in the spring in my area. The response to your seeds offer
seems overwelming.. If you are going to cut the plant back to the ground to mulch it for winter anyway, I would love a hand full of the old vines even if they have been frosted, to try rooting. I believe I can do it inside during winter. Frank

Has anyone heard anything or received seed from this post? Just wondering...sounded like she was a little overwhelmed and I haven't received anything to date.

Lakeland, FL(Zone 9b)

i wonder why this old post was put back up

Hanson, KY(Zone 6a)

Hi Janet,
I haven't heard anything from her on my end either. I really do hope everything is alright.
I was going to send her a SASE but was unable to find her address in the addy.

Lisa... if your out there, we would love to hear from you....not worried so much about the seeds, but would love to hear you are doing O.K.

Just a reminder, I am still interested in seeds as well. Have a few varieties of MG's I can trade, and lots of other things.

I, too, hope all is well! And I certainly understand getting overwhelmed and behind in trades! I'm the worst...but I always come through!

Let us know if we can help with anything!

Fort Myers, FL(Zone 10a)

me too! I like seeds! I hope all is well!

Cincinnati, OH

Ditto!! I am running terribly behind on some swaps right now. I know how overwhelming it can be, so don't let it get to you. If you don't have that many seeds, don't worry one little bit about it, no one on here will care. I hope that all is well with you, and you are having a wonderful Autumn. (My favorite season) Please let us know that you are allright.

BUMPING THE THREAD....

Kay how are your I. indica seeds coming along?

Did the I. indica plants that I sent to you do ok?

Just curious!

Bet in your awesome zone, you got some fabulous blooms from the seeds I also sent to you.
I haven't been on Daves much in a long while.
Did you post any photos?

Thanks Emma
