Who wants MONSTER seeds?

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Hello everyone!

I have been so busy the last few weeks preparing for the baby shower I hosted last Saturday, and trying to wake my HOA up and get them to take care of the outrageous junk that has been going on in the neighborhood that I have not had any time to get on the computer.

I did however, manage to harvest the seeds from MONSTER (I indica) and am offering to send them to anyone who would like them. Emma Grace and Ron get first dibs, but after that I will send to anyone who wants them. I have about 200 seeds right now and will be getting at least another 50 in the next week or two.

If anone could advise as to how to ship them properly, I will be happy to share the offspring of Ms. Monster. I am so happy that I finally got something worthy to share with some other DG-ers! Yippee!!!

I know I had promised some rooted runners to some folks, but I only got 2 of them after trying really hard to root them. Emma Grace gets both of them- she sent me two MG trees and some other beautiful MGs and I want to give her what I worked so hard on- I am still quite an inexperienced gardener!

OK, so if you want some seeds, send me a D-mail with your address!

Hi everyone!
This has been such a crazy crazy few weeks!

Sorry I haven't responded to all the requests. I have been harvesting the seeds as I find them and hopefully will have enough to go around. I haven't had a chance to even look at the D-Mails- I've had two sick Pre-schoolers this week, and am preparing for two meetings next week and right now I gotta go get ready for a baby shower. Will hopefully have some time this evening to enjoy Dave's Garden, which I desperately miss!

Be back soon!

If there's enough to go around, I have many Shibouri JMG seeds I could trade.

Ohhhhh, very pretty! This is these first year I've grown the JMG - all I can say is W-O-W!!!

Hi everyone!
Once again my apologies for not checking in. I have had hands down the most trying month of my life. I am trying to muddle my way through all of it and will hopefully be able to get these seeds in the mail soon. My life has been so upside down that I have been lucky to even get outside to water my poor plants before sundown! My Monster Morning Glory is growing completely up into the sofits and eaves and all over the roof. She is a total Godzilla right now!

So, a question for all you seed folks- what is the normal amount of seeds that one would send in a situation like this? I will send out every last seed I have- I just hope I have enough to go around. Please let me know, OK?

Just wanted to let all of you know why I have been so flaky lately!

Lisa

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

I have received trades with as few as half a dozen seeds and have been quite happy! I always figure I only need 1 to germinate and I will have as many seeds seeds as I can handle thereafter! (I think a dozen is more traditional, but personally, I will be thrilled with whatever you would like to send!)

Were you interested in a trade for my pink (photographed above)?

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I too will be happy with whatever you can send. I agree a half dozen would be a pretty sure bet to get one plant and that is all you need...so if you can send more do and if not that should work.

I'd be perfectly happy with 6 myself. No more than 10 would suffice for me. Thanks

I sent a d-mail to try to tempt you into a trade...lol

Really sorry your life has been so upside down lately and do hope things are settling down somewhat. I know that feeling all too well myself.

I would be more than happy with as few as 6 seeds myself.

Remember to...slow down and take time to smell the flowers as the old saying goes! All too soon it will be winter and their beautiful blooms will be gone.

Jane

Waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Amen to that one

Decatur, IL(Zone 5b)

As everyone else DITTO on 6 seeds would be plenty

Thanks

Beck

what ever you can send is fine :)

Same as all of the above. :)
Hopefully, things will get better for you soon!

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

Send them when you can, Croclover, I won't be planting them till next year. Hope you find comfort soon.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Thanks all of you for the kind words! OK, so it sounds like 6 seeds is good. I think I have enough for everyone then. I need to get some stamps and then I'll be on my way, hopefully I can get them ready this weekend. Anyone who wants to send me seeds, I would love them, but I you don't have any to trade, that's fine too- I am just happy that I can send you all a little piece of Monster and hope her children bring you joy next year. Just call me Johnny Monster seed! Oh- yeah, and I will DEMAND to see photos of her offspring next year!

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

I promise!!!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Me too! I will get your sunflower seed in the mail this weekend. I promise.!

Chepachet, RI(Zone 5b)

If you have any left, I'd love to have some. I'm afraid I'm brand new to gardening, but I could send you some seeds from these if you like--the good folks here helped me identify them as Native Wild Sunflowers.

What kind of seeds are you looking for? I'd be happy to send some in exchange for your "monsters." :)
Here's a list of what I have left: purple foxglove, purple and yellow pansy, red poppy, venice mallow hibiscus, and a purplish-blue columbine. Just d-mail me and let me know, and I can get something out to you today.

Lake Forest, CA(Zone 10a)

Indiana Lily, the foxglove seeds sound divine! I'll take 'em!

Niere, I'm new to gardening too, and I would love some of your sunflower seeds, and will grow them with honor!

I collected a few more seed pods today from Monster!

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

I'd love to get 6 seeds also. I'll be back later to show you a pic of my Jap. MG, different name than yours. have to go to work now. :)
