lawn mower belt (diagram)

Bee Spring, KY(Zone 6a)

Can some one direct me to something that would show you how to put a belt back on a lawn mower???
We hava an antique Deutz/Allis 613 Hydro, 18.5 hp, 3 blades. It runs and cut great, but I broke the belt Sunday, called hubby at work he told me to take it off and measure it, not thinking to look how it was put on I just pulled it out. Now we can't tell how it went back on. There's like 6 thing it goes around. Is their any place that has diagrams that would show how it goes back on. It's the mower belt not the one that runs the transmission.

'Howdy' Sweet_Pea ..

Any chance that you guys have the original manual lying around anywhere then, 'ey!
(ahh .. I'm jes luvinly teasin' you a lil bit .. heehee)

I'm not sure just which one of the models (and respective photos) relate to YOUR specific Deutz Allis rider mower .. but, I'm sure hopin' that the some of the photos and info, will either help you out a bit .. or .. may can link you to some other Deutz Allis knowledgable folks!!

This .. is the mower deck belt photo-illustration for the 600 series. (Not the best image clarity from the manual pages, tho') > http://www.simpletractors.com/images/deutz/6_600series_deck.jpg ..

Maybe I jes missed it, but I didn't find any type of clear detailed guides or instructions for the mower deck belt routing tho' ...

Your [18.5 HP model] .. seems to be in the 900 series (?)

Here's the Simple Tractors web site .. which has the (catalog) for the 1987 Deutz-Allis available to browse > http://www.simpletractors.com/deutz/deutz-allis.htm .. * there's a short list that's visible at the top-left side on the website when it opens.

Just wish someone would've posted a guide the belt routing!

THIS associated web site > http://www.simplicitytechpubs.com/techpubsearch.php .. may be something to check into. {Some manuals are FREE to download and view}.

Some other 'stuff' .. jes in case:
http://www.simpletractors.com/quick_ref/large_garden.htm .. and .. http://www.simpletractors.com/quick_ref/small_garden.htm

Thought you and/or the hubby may enjoy this: An Unofficial History of Simplicity Garden Tractors > http://www.simpletractors.com/Main/history.htm#Deutz

Wish I could've really helped ya out ...

I goolgled Deutz/Allis and found two listings for manuals; tractorpartsinc.com and ytmag.com
Maybe one will have info for you.
Hope the grass doesn't get too high before you get it back together.
