Re: "Please bring one dish of something to eat if at all possible"

Is there a list (yet) of who's bring'n what? I'd be glad to bring a big ol'pot of beans, but I don't want to show up with beans if others are already plan'n to bring some. If no one else has already offered, I'll bring the beans. If they're already covered, I'll bring something else . . . just not sure who's bringing what?

I'm going to go put names on little pots . . . I'll check back in a bit. :)

Oh and I thought this might be helpful . . . and save some time for anyone needing a map. :)

Oh neat o...! I forgot about the ole mapquest thingy....

I may try and pick up some fried chicken somewhere or another. Lord knows I won't have time to cook anything tomorrow what with my honey's sister and brother-in-law from Boston staying here. Bring some beans, GD....sounds wonderful!.. :) I make a mean pot of boracho beans myself... :)

Linda, I've had quite a few cocoons (sp?) open up around the house these past days. Missed each one opening tho...much to my disappointment..... I'm still seeing tons of the snout butterflies tho....

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

My preference is "hotter is better" but I burned all of my taste buds off years ago...lol.. I could enjoy them one way or t'other... :)

Thank you Nada . . . my hats off to the hostess :)

It was a great time and everyone was more than generous. Those that didn't make it missed out. I had a really nice time and really enjoyed meeting everyone. It was a little rainy early, but Nada had it covered and soon the sun came out and made for a nice afternoon.

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful plants and good food. Already look'n forward to next year ;)

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

I have to say thank you to all and even more to Nada,

I had a great time today. Even went home with more than I had asked for, hehehe. When I unloaded the car, I was almost overwhelmed. Great place, food, and company. It was awesome to meet you all. Putting facees to names now makes DG fell more homey.

Thanks again Nada for hostessing the Swap,

calvin

Hats off to ya, Nada...for being such a gracious hostess.....thank you for opening up your home and letting us roam all around your place, lol. And many many thanks to all of ya'll for letting go of your green babies....I still haven't unloaded my wee Honda...since we just got back from the company picnic...so I'll do that tomorrow morning...and it'll feel like Xmas all over again, lol. What a generous wonderful group ya'll are....can't wait for the next one.. :) Even at Nada's house, those dadburn fireants found me again and declared my left foot a new territory, lol.. I swear the same group of 'em follow me around and let me have it...lol But it was all worth it....thank you.. :)

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

lol....terrible rascals.. :p

It was all worth it tho.. :)

lol GD, and I would have brought some of your spiderlings home as well...if I hadn't decided to be so dadburn kindhearted and give those youngsters a home at Nada's place..lol I just unloaded my car....and I think I came back with alot more then what I took, lol. But I just love all of this....and hope that all of my green babies grow well for everyone else to enjoy. :) I think I have enough of GD's sand that I could try my hand at strawberries! lol... ;D
