YAY Cece!! Way to go. See, we told you it was easy! Nice little seating area, big improvement!

We didn't get a drop of that rain today. Maybe some tonight? Believe it when I see it.

Sarv and Mary, I'm having a dish of ice cream with Hershey's
Chocolate Syrup on it, just so you won't feel alone.

Caught Sammi and Olivia snoozing in the hat box, but ever alert Olivia had to look and see what I was doing.

Going to say good night, and see everyone tomorrow....~~~~ to all.

Good evening everyone,

As usual, I didn't get half of my "to do" list accomplished today.

We had to take three of the cats in to see the vet this morning. The kitten, D.K., got off the lightest of them all, but she has to go back in one month to get the last installment of her vaccinations. Our old, somewhat senile, and always somewhat nasty cat, Tangerine, apparently has an abscess in her teeth as well as kidney disease, so we came home with antibiotic medication for her as well as a puzzle to ponder --- how can we possibly manage to come up with $300.00+ to get this cat taken care of while still paying the mortgage and putting food on the table for man and beast alike? Nasty as she is, none of us is ready to cut her life short by having her euthanized before it's necessary, but I can't see paying a fortune to prolong her life either. Meanwhile, she's about as p****d off as she can be, and is hiding upstairs (and she hardly ever goes up there.) When we got home, she headed for the stairs and absolutely freaked when she saw me heading up there with two of the empty cat carriers. She then ran downstairs and positioned herself on the next to the bottom step and began to hiss and growl at nothing at all. (I thought at first that there must be another cat at the bottom of the stairs, but, no, unless she's seeing kitty ghosts, there was nothing at all there.) D.k. and Miss Miceus fared better, but were both rather traumatized by the experience.

I did manage to get the 15 champagne candles to fill the order done today, but it really does seem that Murphy's Law is in effect. When I make martini candles or still wine candles. etc. I try to pour the gel at the highest temperature possible, coat the wick with gell beforehand, etc. to minimize the bubbles that show up in the gel wax. This time, I didn't coat the wicks and poured the wax at the lowest temperature that I thought was feasible in order to get bubbles in the candles. Wouldn't you know that half of them seem to have almost no bubbles at all? Aaaaarrrrggghhh! I'm hoping against hope that tomorrow morning will show that they have all gained more bubbles!

I wasn't able to get any of the needed garden work done today. Since I pulled out most of the coriander/cilantro, I hope to distribute the mulching straw within the next week or two. DH has offered to take the store so that I could get caught up on the gardening, but I really don't think that he should take a chance on having to be on his feet too much per day.

Tried to pick a new bouquet to replace the dead one, but it was getting so dark that I couldn't see what I was trying to pick. Hopefully tomorrow evening when I get home, I can add to what I gathered tonightl

Bonnie, glad that we were able to snatch a few minutes from our crazey schedules to connect with each other!

I01, glad that you checked in so that we don't have to worry about you.

Sheila, from one cat-lover to another --- how many tropical get-aways for the vets do you suppose we have financed between the two of us? Health care costs for the furbabies seems to be catching up to the costs for us humans pretty quickly. I'm not sure which was howling louder on the way home, --- my pocketbook or one of the cats!

Hi and goodnight to everyone that I didn't address by name. Tomorrow's another work day and I still haven't managed to get anywhere near caught up on everything.

Deatsville, AL(Zone 8a)

Just heading to the bath and then to bed. Work will be challenging again tomorrow but I am telling my self I will get up early and go out for a walk around my garden (it is very therapeutic for me- really gardening in general is) My job is very stressful this time of year. Trying to get organized tonight for tomorrow and hopefully that will allow me some extra time. Hopefully I wont have to work late tomorrow. Today I got home after dark and couldnt even get out to look at anything outdoors. Thank goodness it rained this afternoon and therefore nothing went without watering.

This morning DH turned the volume down on the alarm clock when he got up and then I didnt hear it going off when I needed to get up a few hours later. Still managed to fly out of the house and off to work in time.

Tomorrow is a new day. Will catch up with you all in the a.m. hopefully. Hope everyone has a good night's sleep and no aches and pains in the morning.

Hi folks. In from a disappointing concert. It was the Gryphon Trio which is an excellent piano trio with added friends - called the concert Rhythm from the Latin Lounge. Some of it was fun and latin rhythms. but a lot of it was straight improvisatory jazz that wwent on forever. There were 4 other concerts I could have chosen from and this one sounded like a nice change of pace. A lot of other people thought so too because the large church which holds 1100 people was full. When we got there, the line went around three sides of a city block. We all got in, but they didn't open the house on time; so the concert was late in starting. Oh Well. The benefit of a pass system is that I didn't pay gobs of $$$$ to attend this concert. Just bought my pass and if I chose a bummer, well, hopefully I'll know better next time.

cece - good job getting the pics up.

Sheila - great picture of Olivia and Sammy. Your ice cream sounds good. I had to settle for a peach - my first of the season and not quite ripe - and some peach yoghurt.

McCool - quite a job getting the cats to the vet. Sorry to hear about the needed work on Tangerine.
Glad you got the candles done. will they miss the bubbles?

~~~~ to everyone else. Have a good night.
Well, as usual has been a busy day, and no I will not even attempt to comment to everyone. You will just have to settle for a ~~~ from me tonight. Did the tomato juice, then discovered some peaches that I had set aside to ripen some more, so ended up freezing peaches 6 pints of them, in addition to silking corn to be frozen tomorrow. I have three 5 gallon buckets of corn to tackle first thing in the morning.
No Sarv, I usually don't have to buy vegetables during the winter, besides, I don't enjoy the frozen chunks of "stuff" out of the boxes or bags. Nice to know where it came from and how it was handled.
Well the bed is calling my name, so will be back in a few minutes with the daily.
