Gonna ask Dave to change the subject line, so as not to confuse anyone.

LOL. you are so funny. I enjoy so much your starting coffee for us. :-)

Mine was always the same old thing, cause I always just did a cut and paste cause I'm lazy and not original.

I am so proud of you for doing this!! (((((hugs)))))

kittymom, I don't intend to be funny, but if the mistake happens I just try to make the best of it. Thanks for the vote of support. After I half-way know how to do it, it is really easy, now if I can just keep the date straight.

LOL After a couple of days of getting up before the chickens, the only way that I know the day of the week is thru Coffee...
Carat, glad to hear that things with your DH wer'nt as bad a frist thought. I hope they get his pain under control. A growling DH is not a fun thing.
Hey I have a news flash, I have been married 25 years and my DH has never gone to ANY Dr. for anything. He has finally decided that his arms are too short to read the paper and that he needs glasses!!! I made the appointment now to see if he goes.....
It got warm here 115 when you figured in the humidity and today is going to be just as lovely..well off to water plants...bbl....Hugs Lauri

Edited for spelling.:-)

Good Morning everyone! I think I may go get pie cheeries from/Ernie. I'm finishing my crab meat dinner, but I guess technically it's breakast time,We had fruit salad, nummy salmon, and BREAD!!!Yunnnnnnn, Can't tyoe correctly any kl=lomg brtttr ro...Have wonder fyun///////////sun[da:)

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Bonnie, you've stuck with it all along, and that's a good indication of your character!! You are not a quitter!! And if we can't make light of our errors, we'd be pretty sad cases! And I don't think we'd be gardeners....! Poor Mr. B, I hope his "date" next week will settle him down. So hard to have a temptress so near!

LOL Somer, that's how I feel some of my posts look if I don't preview or go back and edit them. I can get the same result from Olivia deciding she needs to help with the keyboard! All that crab, yum!! Made me so hungry I broiled some salmon for dinner last night. Would much rather have had crab!

Carat, I can only imagine the quantity of dust, hair, and things i won't even mention that accumulated while you were gone. I know for sure that while I am gone, dishes pile up, dust accumulates, the carpet becomes unspeakable but the period just before my return is a flurry of vacuuming and cleaning up because it is always neat when I walk in the door. Neat enough for me, that is...I'm not a compulsive cleaner! Hope your DH is out of pain soon, and the surgery was successful. So often they are only guessing until they get inside and see what's going on.

I took some garden shots yesterday but I posted them in the Midwest Gardening forum, I hate to take up space here to post them so if you want to peek, here's a link. Scroll down to the July 22, unless you want to look at the other garden pics on the thread. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/622577/

I am *almost* happy with the way it's filling in, after five years of trial and error, trying diffferent plants under the Black Walnut, and getting a bigger variety of perennials. All the plants I brought home from the roundup are doing well, the lilies from Molly are beautiful, the dianthus from Bonnie is rooting nicely, so it's been a good gardening year in spite of the weird weather. It's never occurred to me to count the number of plants our there, but Cece has me wondering what the totals are....! Maybe one of these days I'll do that.

Mary, do you give milk to your kitties? Usually they get a little diarrhea from cow's milk, even if they like it and ask for it. My DS still gives her cat. Chester, milk and he's ten years old. Ours beg for ice cream but that's a rare treat and not given often as it is too rich.

Olivia has decided she doesn't want to type anymore and has settled down for a nap on my lap ...and I have to get up and shower/dress, etc. She is just a delightful kitten...much gentler than Sammi was, he was just a tornado, she's a cuddler.

Off I go, ~~~~ and wishing everyone a wonderful day.

Sheila

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

lauri-glad he's getting glasses I was expecting you to say he signed up for arm extensions!!

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

checked the rest of yesterday - i couldn't get on!
It poured all day here, it's been a really gross weekend.

katym-LOL at the "tom Sawyer" pants! I remember those days. And when the kids went back in the fall you don't recognize any of them!! How old is your DS? Mine is now 17. He has a full time and then some job at a camp, where they feed him....what a deal! I'm sure they're losing money on it!! LOL

Carat-oh poor DH and poor you! I hope they get to the bottom of the back pain, it sounds agonizing. I hate back spasms.

darius-glad you are satisfied with the work you got done, 'course I'd probably be satisfied with your worst day!! LOL. How's Gracie?

defoecat-I wonder if some day I can have veggie gardens like yours. Maybe if we get the farmhouse fixed and I get a good sized tractor...up there the land is flat so I can do more. Here, with terraces, a lot is done piece meal. I'd like to have my pantry and freezer chock full of good stuff! A pool is probably the perfect canning accessory too!

Mc Cool-what sign? I missed it.

Now I have to check horses, Jared's foot looked sore. He got thrush last year in all the mud, and now we're back to mud....If there's a break in the rain I want to get the maples in. It was really a downpour all day yesterday. Still, planting trees in a light rain is my favorite since they do so much better.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Casey, sorry DH's pain has increased. Hopefully that will diminish soon.

If anyone decides to visit my home, DO NOT expect CLEAN, LOL. Well, excepting the kitchen where I'm fussy about clean counters (clutter doesn't count), dishes, utensils, etc.

Sheila, I'm still helping the effort to save Sarv's place as the ice cream queen. Have had some every evening this week, either Breyer's mint chocolate chip or vanilla bean... or some of each. Probably gaining back some of the 10-15 pounds I have lost recently.

It's overcast and cool here and I should do some more unpacking, or pull staples (never got to that yesterday) or something constructive but the impetus has fled. I don't have enough gas to get to a gas station (and then the grocery store for cat food) so I'm hoping to catch Mike after church and get him to bring me a gallon or so. I probably should fill my 5 gallon can before gas gets over $3.

Have a good day!

I'M BACK............phew- that was some camping trip with temps near 100....but I survived with a daily treat of ice cream - some days I even had it twice!! Hey, it was vacation!!!

I only made it fishing once (DS was about 4 in his boat, so I bowed out) Next year, we'll take our own boat.... Took DGS tubing several times, went to a go-cart (amusement park), antique mall and best of all a daylily/iris farm!! It was gorgeous....but after I made my list of what I wanted, they told me they would ship them to me for $8.50 per kind- I thanked them and left. I can buy them cheaper here...But it was fun to wander around and look at them.

Had huge campfires nightly along with s'mores and pies. Played a ton of games. Came home late yesterday and did 6 loads of laundry= two more to go.

Late last night I did read thru the days I missed...A couple of new faces at the table, Maria still visiting, Darius losing art work and a birthday or two. Other than that, CRS... LOL

We left our cat outside (food and water and bed in the barn) for the ten days we were gone. Our kids came over several times to swim and couldn't find the cat. They freaked out and searched the neighbors and walked the road looking for a body. They came over yesterday and were afraid to mention it. Finally DS took DH aside and told him they thought the cat had died. We laughed, she strolled out of the barn. But she's given us the cold shoulder for hours now - mad that we left her!

I have four brugs in bloom -pink, white, yellow and gold. Oh they are so gorgeous... I think I will give them a reprieve and keep them another year....

Weeds have overtaken my veggie garden...pooh, I am tired of weeding

My best friends mother passed away while we were on vacation - quite a shock! I need to call her this moring...

Well, off to catch up on the other forums- great to be back home and with my 'garden' friends...

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Hey Darius- saw you just posted. Gas here is $3.15...yuck.... You can't have my place as 'ice cream queen' = I had a bowl of butter pecan topped with hot fudge last night. I had just finished it when DIL came over and I offered her some. I had to be polite, so I had a second bowl! LOL Life is good.....(your 15 lbs are on my fanny....)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Hey Sarv... M5 and I were merely "holding" your place as Ice Cream Queen! (I really couldn't have the title anyway as ice cream is a very occasional treat for me.)

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Good morning all. Sarv, glad to see you back. There have been a couple of people here who were threatening to take your title of "ice cream queen" had you been gone longer, they may have succeeded.

Slept in fits and jerks last night. Tired this morning. Maybe I got too caught up on my sleep, and MN decided I needed to start on another deficit.

Off to church, got some lunch started for afterwards.

Have a good day all.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi Folks,

Got a bit of time now to catch up before I head out to the grocery store. there's no food in the house and no time for the next two weeks to buy it. DH may go to the 2 pm concert this afternoon, but I'm not turned on my Wind Quintets. Have to be at a church at 6 because I'm head-usher and this early in the Festival there are people who have never ushered before.

Music (three Two-viola pieces for Prelude, Special music and offertory) all went well in church this morning other than I grabbed my fanny pack that I've been using at Chamber music instead of my purse and didn't have my church keys. Head usher was late; so we were locked out till I hiked down the street to get a key from someone who lives near the church.

Casey - glad to hear DH is at home. Hope he's more comfortable today than yesterday and will keep my fingrs crossed till you see Dr next week. I can relate to the vacuuming - my own hasn't been out of the closet for far too long. LOL

Bonnie - you get the posts started and that's all that really matters. Susan, we'll be back to boring soon enough as I've pledged to do them from August 1-17. I'm a cut and paste type.(What was your original subject line? I got here after Dave changed it. Either that or I don't see anything wrong.)

Hi Maria, Hi Lauri. somermoone - I hope you get those pie cherries.

Sheila - nice pics. I see a lot from Kelly too.

Dorothy - hope Jared's foot is all right.

Sorry Darius - no sympathy here about gas prices. We've been seeing over $1 per litre. The litre is almost the same as a US quart and our $ is now worth close to $ .90 US; so we've been paying well over $3 US for a gallon for a long time and it keeps going up. Probably will continue until the latest nonsense in the middle east is resolved.

Sarv - welcome back. Sounds like you had a good vacation. Too funny about the cat and your kids. Cats have a way of giving you the cold shoulder when they are displeased don't they?

Well, on with things. BBL maybe.

Oh boy, am I glad Sarv is back, I can't get my jeans over my butt!! Are we going to have pictures? HUH? Sounds like a good time was had by all. Boy, that's pricey shipping! Sometimes that's where I think they make their money. It was so noble of you to eat extra ice cream with your guest, you wouldn't want them to feel uncomfortable eating in front of you. What we don't do for our families, hmmm?

What a hassle! DH sold that car for his brother on Ebay, and now the guy is complaining about some rust under the floor (not visible) and some other stuff that sounds like he has buyer's remorse. DH had clearly stated in the auction that he was sellling it for his brother and since he isn't a Chevie guy, stated that it was available for inspection, and that they should inspect before buying. The guy sent a buddy of his down from Fond du Lac, who looked it over, and gave it the ok. Of course, DBIL has the money in his pocket now and certainly isn't inclined to refund any of it, so the guy is calling DH every day and complaining. If the guy hadn't had the car inspected by a friend who owns a body shop,, it would be a different story but, geee, how much responsibility is DH supposed to take for this? I told DH, as the saying goes, "no good deed goes unpunished."

Darius, I'd love to get gas for $3. I filled up this morning and it was$3.299 a gallon, (I guess they didn't want to raise it another .001 and make it $3.30, who are they fooling?) so it was $43.38 for a little over 13 gallons. GASP!! I used to pick up a carton of smokes and fill up and the gas and cigs were about even. I've cut down on my driving, and avoid the Xway, as anything over 50 mph raises your consumption expotentially, so by the time I fill up I get sticker shock.

They have a "pump patrol" that they put on the tv news in the a.m., but by the time people head for the cheap fill up, either the station runs out, or raises their prices. I do not believe we will ever see gasoline for less. I feel for the people who have long commutes and low paying jobs, as they are the ones who are impacted the most. Although, we are also picking up the tab as prices go up for goods and services, and merchants pass their expenses along to consumers.

Well, I've babbled long enough, time to check on what's blooming or needs deadheading. I lopped off the dead stuff from the tickseed, and in less than a week it's started blooming again.

Sammi and Olivia napping, or trying to, just look at the size of that little guy! He's eight months old and still growing.

Okay! Back inside now. The temp is much better today and I got *all* the watering done for a change. And its still only 85 degrees! There were storm cells all over the place last night, thunder and lightening like crazy - except here! We just got the cooler temps. Well, ok, we got one 90 second drip! I'll take any improvement I can get, and 85 at noon is a *lot* better than the 102 we have been getting!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I had a great day *and* I got my garden hose! Now I want another one! DH is finishing up several orchid baskets and also cooking suppers. He is a real diamond.

Pooped. Got the staples pulled from 3/4 of my sister's LR, and a primer/sealer coat applied. Hope to do the remainder later today, and maybe even start on the top coat which is oil based. Have to figure where to pen up my cat so she doesn't walk in the oil paint like the last time!

M5, sorry about the ebaY car hassle. What a pain.

Hi again, back from church, had lunch, meat loaf, fried corn, green beans and potato salad. Been sitting in the recliner reading. Boy does that do the "ol body" good!!

Viann, the mistake was I made 2 July 22nds. Didn't realize until the other night that adm can go in and change the subject line. Didn't want to confuse anybody, so asked Dave to change it. Pretty pics too.

Darius, good bit accomplished. Pulling staples sounds about as exciting as watching paint dry, but I guess it's gotta be done.

tgif, glad the birthday was good. Your pretty, is indeed pretty, and oh, yes DH is a keeper.

M5, thanks for the rant about gas prices, ebay hassles, I agree whole heartedly, and besides you saved me some typing!! Sammi, may become "wonder cat" at the rate he is going. Makes Olivia look like a new born. Now that Sarv is back, you and Darius, put away those ice cream spoons, and let her resume her normal activities.

lauriewilson, sure hope that you aren't depending on me solely to see what the day is. Better have a back up resource. Sure would have hated being the person who sent you back to work. I too was expecting you to say that your DH was going to see about arm extensions. That is the ultimate humiliation for men, when they have to admit imperfections

sommemoone, get some cherries for me too. Tell Maria, Ernie and Linda hello from the coffee bunch too.

dmc, McCool has a sign on the door that leads to their sleep quarters that says "this house protected by killer dust balls". I shoudl have one like that too. How's Jared's foot?

Sarv, that was funny about the cat. How long will she hold the grudge? Glad that you had a good trip, despite the temperatures.

Guess I had better head outside and do some weeding. I have some liorope that is being taken over by some crap grass. I am having DM's church group here the 3rd of August, and want everything looking good. Talked to DGD awhile ago, and she won't be back until about 6:00 Monday night. So am gonna go ahead and shock the pool. The rains have done a number on the chemistry.

Here's a pic of DH riding a jet ski. Kids (not ours) rented one for 3 hrs - 150 bucks!! They had so much fun they rented it the next day!! DH is the one driving - friend is on the back (in long pants no less!!) They laughed like fools telling us how the seaweed got in the intake hole and they had to hop off to clean it off - with all their clothes on - in water over their head.

I wasn't sure the life preserver would hold DH up, but he survived....

I'm back. The portion of the floor I primed now has a top coat. After I finished the clean-up, I took cut stuff for the compost pile and managed to slice off a tiny portion of my left index finger, so I think I'm done for the day! How can a tiny cut bleed so much?

Back from grocery shopping. Got all the patio pots watered before I left and container of coffee grounds spread around plants. Now my car's windshield wipers are acting up. Guess I'll have to have them looked at. More $$$, I'm sure.

Darius, the floor looks great. sorry about the finger tip. Wrap it up well and take a break.

Go figure. I wrote what was above and then clicked on a photo to enlarge it. Usually that wipes out anything I've writen, but it didn't this time. I don't think I'll every figure out just what it is that makes posts vanish into thin air.

I agree, Sheila. Looks like fun. Well off to stitch up the sleeve of last year's volunteer T-shirt. The shirts have been the same for several years and I already have 3; so a couple of years I've declined to take a new one. But last year there was sponsor info on the sleeve - a sponsor that is not back this year. I find if I roll it up twice, it doesn't show at all and I often roll up the sleeves anyway. I'll put a row of stitching just to hold it in place.

Have a good evening.

Didnt get to chime in over my coffee this morning. I woke up late and had to get ready and get the kids ready for church. Today was Homecoming Sunday (Do you have those at your churches or is it just a southern thing?) Anyway the service on Homecoming always lasts at least 2 hours and then of course everyone has brought several covered dishes and we eat like pigs in the fellowship hall. So much fun and you get to see people who have moved away or just are at another church and came back to visit. We usually have a former pastor back to preach, etc. I took a large meat and veggie tray. There is a lady at our church that always bring chicken and dumplings to every church dinner and it is the best thing you have ever tasted!

Anyway after we got home DH asked if I had seen Nelly (our dog) lately because he saw one that looked sort of like her on the road!! I sat w/ the kids and he drove by to check it out and sure enough, she had been hit by a car. So now we have to hold a doggie funeral this afternoon. She was a stray we had taken in about 2 years ago and was really old and had some health problems anyway (arthritis, blind in one eye, etc.) so it may have been a blessing. The vet said couldnt do anything for her since she was so old.

dmcdevitt - DS who reads Tom Sawyer is 7 and my other DS will be 2 in November. :)

Great to see all of the beautiful garden pics you guys are posting. Very pretty indeed.

Hello everyone. Welcome back Sarv, it sounds like you had fun and did your part to keep those ice cream companies in business! We don't need to worry about that any longer but ice cream does sound good right now.

Hubby called late last evening and was about 5 hours from home, (about a 9 hour trip to his conference) filling the gas tank and getting coffee. He got home at about 2am and we slept in. I think I got up at 6:30 and he slept another hour. We are usually up at 5 or 5:30. So instead of riding early while it was cool we sat around and got caught up on the weekend activities, then decided to go have breakfast at our favorite cafe. By the time we finished that church in the park was about half over so we just came home and I went riding after that when it was already 90 degrees. I haven't done anything since then except move a sprinkler.

Dmc, I hope your horse doesn't get too lame on that foot. We have almost no problems with thrush here since it is so dry most of the year, but over on the other side of the mountains they fight it all the time. What are you using on it, Coppertox? When you're planting those maples remember how big they will get and give them plenty of room. Did you say they are going along the driveway?

M5, cute picture of your cats sleeping. It's nice that they are such great pals.

Pretty flowers tgif and ViAnn. I haven't taken many flower pictures this year, they are the same flowers in the same places as last year.

Carat, I hope you can keep the hubby happy while he is hurting, and keep your sanity at the same time. I need to go look at your pictures.

Darius, ouch on the finger. Nice job on the floor, and no kitty footprints.

Katym, chicken 'n' dumplings sounds good but it is something I only cook in the winter. I make dumplings that are like rocks so I use Bisquick and it gets buggy between batches of dumplings because I don't use it for anything else. So, you can see that I rarely make dumplings. Have to add that to my winter cooking list, right now it just sounds way too hot. And after I open that box of Bisquick I need to put the contents in a jar in the freezer. On the subject of teenagers and eating, ours got jobs in a restaurant when they were old enough and that really helped the food budget. It was a nice place, they got a meal per shift, and said "we eat steaks and mistakes". Oops, somebody's steak got a little too done and somebody had to eat it. What a deal!! and they also learned to cook.

Time to get out of this hot room and go move the sprinkler. ~~~ hi to everyone I missed. Catch you later.

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

katy-so sorry about your dog!

I just got in from a long day of planting- four maples, 6 balsams, and a host of little cedars to finish the hedge by the road-up at the farm..I have a headache now (probably from too much sun LOL I've turned into a mole with all the dark we've had)

Will check back after the Tylenol kicks in.

Just about ready to get my jammies on. I looked on the calendar and I have a hair appt at 9am...gonna get a buzz again!!

Darius, take a break and rest the bones and the finger!! I was pulling weeds today and my neighbor came over to chat. Before I knew what I was doing, I reached down and pulled up a huge piece of poison ivy....dashed in the house andwashed it with pine sol, then went and dipped my arm in the pool skimmer (filled with chlorine tablets) Sheesh, I sure hope I don't get a break out of the itchies.....on my right hand too...

katy - sorry about the dog- losing a pet anyway is so sad...hope the funeral went smoothly.

Vi-time for a new car? Mine is 10 yrs old and I expect it to croak anytime. We've got our $ worth out of it tho.

Mary, keep that 90 deg temp out there- I am sick of that hot weather!! Today was warm, but this evening it was lovely - cool and a breeze. I weeded my dahlia bed- man that messenger really made the weeds explode!!

My folks came out and we played two games of rummycube= DH won them both. Then DS/DGS came for a swim in the pool. DH was just about to start vacuuming it, so DS took over- very nice as DH hates to do that job!!

Well, time to hit the shower!!

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Oh, thought you would all get a charge out of me in a go cart- I hate things like this, but did it to keep DGS happy. He was sure he could beat me and he did. In fact everyone lapped me 2x!! My shoe was so big I kept hitting the gas and brake at the same time and I had the worse cramp in my leg...ouch... Sitting on the ground looking thru my legs is not my favorite pose....

One of the group had a blow out and they let us go around extra times...just my luck!! DH decided he wouldn't go -he'd be the picture taker (smart man....)

Where's IO1???

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Tgig, and V'ann, the daylilies are beautiful! I'm looking at the Stella d'Oros and wondering if I should be deadheading...do you do yours?

Sarv, those gocarts are definitely not made for adults, I'm surprised you could bend your legs enough to get in...or out! I'd probably try it anyway....LOL I've done crazier things. Learned some lessons and completely forgot some others! It's still cheaper to fix an older good car than buy a new one. I expect mine to go over 200K before anything goes so wrong that I have to replace it. Most of the "foreign" cars ( although some are made here, like Honda) have engines designed to run that long. Body integrity is another matter, road salt in the winter can do a lot of damage. Other than tires and oil changes I haven't put that much into mine. This year was a big expense, with the head gasket, but overall, everything has held up extremely well. I'm still running my A/C on the original freon.

Of course, I have to gripe about it when something needs doing, but DH just says, "Try and find a car that will run as long as the Camry, for what you want to pay.. and, Good Luck."

I don't recall if Elaine (IO1) had something going on this weekend, or maybe she has her new splint on....and can't type...SUSAN ELAINE, ARE YOU LURKING?

Mary, Sammi and Olivia are inseparable now. If she's out of sight he goes looking for her. If she's napping somewhere, he'll sleep nearby, almost always with a paw on her. She is Queen of his Universe.

I picked a big bouquet to bring in the house, and went in the den later to say something to DH...He said, "What did you do, blow up a chili dog??" I looked down and the front of my tank top was covered with reddish orange blotches....from the lilies I picked! I threw it in the wash right away and it all came out. My kids used to make moustaches and beards from the pollen from the tiger lilies, and it didn't wash off all that well.

Hope, what is Border Patrol? Does it have another name? I feel bad when a perennial doesn't make it through our winter but when we have freeze and thaw cycles, you always lose some. I'm shocked that three of the cheap $2 roses from Home Depot are on their third season, I didn't even cover them last year. One is only about 6 high so I don't have much confidence that it will survive another winter.

Mary, thanks for the reminder, I've got a big bag of flour that's probably sprouted some critters by now, keep meaning to check it but out of sight out of mind. Now I will, for sure. Federal standards allow 1% foreign matter in our flour, and some of it is bound to hatch.

Now that I've spoiled your appetites......LOL ~~~~~~ good night, see you on the morrow. Sleep safe.

Hi folks,

Just in from a concert by a German string quartet. I know the violist a bit - have met him at Congresses and heard him play in a competition in Germnay in 1999. They did a nice job. Tomorrow I'm not working at any concerts, but will attend a couple and finally get to have lunch with my friend.

katy - I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. Even if it was old and you'd had it only a couple of years, you get attached. Hope the funeral went smoothly.

mary - that works - putting Bisquick in the freezer. Should check mine which also doesn't get used often. I buy stone ground whole wheat flour in quite large quantity because the store from which I like it isn't handy. But I have to keep it in the freezer too.

Dorothy - I hope the headache has improved.

Sarv - I'm not ready to give up on the car yet. Over 9 years, it's given me very few problems, but it seems to be making up for that this summer.

Lovely flowers, Sheila.

Good night all.

M5, definitely dead head the Stella's. Mine rebloom, and add some color to the garden.

Viann, glad to hear that you will be having a relaxing day.

Darius, good paint job, sorry about the finger.

Hi Twyla, I am interested in the canadian border patrol, what is it?

Sarv, how in the world did you get your legs in that car? I am short, and last year tried it, and it sure wasn't the least bit comfortable.

Mary, sounds like you had a pretty relaxing day. Let's try to do it more often!!

katym, sorry about your dog. A funeral is so nice, puts a period to the dog's life. Yes, we still have "homecomings" at church. They are usually more of a social thing than a church thing.

Well, after the recliner and book routine this afternoon, went to church, then when we got home DH suggested we go fishing. We did, and didn't catch squat. We then stopped by a garden (I will post pics of our gardens) and tied up some tomatoes, and then to another garden where I picked some peppers, cukes, and a bucket of tomatoes. Tomorrow, I will turn them into juice. These are the early ones, and sort of mishappen, so will make them into juice. I usually don't start canning tomatoes until they are practically falling from the vine, and I can have about 15 gallon to work on. This is only a 5 gallon bucket, and will make about 7 quarts of juice. DS and DSGF will help me when I can for DM. Tuesday, it looks like I will be freezing corn. In between all this, I sure do have the weeds to pull from the flower gardens. DGD is coming back tomorrow night, so will have her and probably 1 or more of her friends in the pool all week. She has poision ivy, which will require a Dr. visit tomorrow. She is so allergic. She swears that she got it here, but I cannot locate any where she has been. I do have some unknowns growing under the deck, which will get a dose of Round Up tomorrow. Hope that will take care of the "itchies" for her.

Okay, I have missed I01, and Molly, wonder where they are. And Babs has been MIA for quite awhile. Sure hope nothing has interrupted life so completely that they can't post.

Poor, Mr. B, has kept his vigil beside the dog run for 1 night and 1 day. This will be his second night out. I even tempted him tonight with "going to grandmother's" which is a sure bet that he will head to the vehicle of choice, but he just looked at me, and seemed to say "and who is going to guard the lady?" I even had to take his food and water out to him today. He scarfed down the food, and the water is there with him. Poor poor baby, his unrequited "love" is making him loose weight. What those guys will do for some attention!!

Will be back in a few with tomorrow's daily.

Night all.
