Great photos digging_dirt & I absolutely love your anagallis. Of course it's blue & I always try & find blue flowers for the garden.
I dont think I ever saw Anagalis before this year in somebody's garden and now your pic digging and I am sure going to be looking for it next year!
carol
Me too Linda. Blue is my favourite.
Rob that Balsam is a real winner. Hope you are saving seeds from it. I'm guessing it must be your older boy that has the wonderful garden. I have seen pictures of your handsome fellows in the recipe forum. You have been holding out on us. So now we know you can cook too.
Looking wonderful Rob (and what a lovely amount of space you have around your yard :)
Looking wonderful Rob (and what a lovely amount of space you have around your yard :) BTW I'm sorry I missed listing you in the other thread http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/650284/ .....I just clicked on Newfoundland Member list and found just two CDN's listed there. How was the storm at your place?

Rob, you have so many beautiful treasures in your garden! Your son is doing a fine job with his garden and you're a good daddy to be teaching him. It's so important to instill these values now because they'll remember it always.
Erynne :o)
So right Erynne. Something that stays with you all of your life.
We won't get tired of your garden pics, Rob. I'm so glad you got your digi this summer, now you can post lots here. What are those pretty little yellow daisies? The blue impatiens, where did you get those? - very unique.
I haven't tried the cheesecake yet, but I think I will, and it sounds real tasty. I don't bake much anymore, especially in summer.
will thanks for saying that Erynne and echoes my son loves helping me in the garden.
and echoes the blue impatiens i trade with a lady from finland for them, thay

The yellow flowers are a rudbeckia call prairie sun a great color and thay arnt tall sort of dwarfed.
seeing you like my treasures heres some of the dahilas i have grown from seed
Hey, Rob, I also think it's great that you're passing on the love of gardening to your son. My youngest is 16 now, and often will help me in the garden. Oh, yeah, he protests, as a any 16 year old is expected to do, but I know he secretly enjoys it!
Those asters knocked my socks off!
Sandy
How many chickens have you got? I love chickens, used to raise them for roasters, and kept a few for eggs. Now the chicken coop is my garden shed. We had trouble with foxes, raccoons, weasels, whatever likes to eat chickens. Skunks too maybe.
It looks like you will have a forest around you in a few years. You have done a lot of work and it is starting to really fill in.
More beautiful pictures, Brenda. Is the white clematis blooming the one they call the Fall Clematis? I don't have this one...lol.
diggingdirt, beautiful pictures also. I've got to get some raspberry canes and blackberry canes for next year...yum.
:) Donna
Thanks Donna, I'm not sure what that clematis is supposed to be. I guesss it could be Sweet Autumn Clematis, and the seed could have been from AP, from the obelisks in the middle section of the Engish Gardens. But I got some seed in a trade too that are a possibility. Haven't figured it out yet. Tags have disappeared. I think they will completely cover that old relic wagon as it collapses. Not a bad thing.
Rob, your son is a delight. I just want to come and squeeze his cheeks. That picture gave me a good chuckle too. I like your asters, the wild one is very pretty, similar to one that I have. I've had a problem growing the China Asters the last couple of years. Yours sure do well for you.
Here is the passiflora that grew in it's pot by the gate for Donna.

Beautiful!
If you check the other forums, you'll find a lot of "burping" and double posts were going on while Dave was working on the servers today. It was sooo slow this morning.
Don
Gorgeous, Brenda! Which one did you give me now?? It's got buds, but I don't know if I'm going to get to see them...sniff, sniff.
:) Donna
Thanks Don. That's a good excuse and I'm stickin to it.
I would have give you P. caerulea, Donna. Can you take it in, if it gets too cold. Then you could see it bloom and then cut it back. If you keep it over winter, you should see it bloom for sure next year.
I'm going to move it into the greenhouse until I can get it into the house.
oh god i cant beleave tomorrow is the first day of FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
were did our summer go
I hear ya! :(
