You know those authentic crocs that are becoming quite popular, even as garden shoes, I hear their very comfortable, which is why all the nurses are wearing them.
I'm having trouble finding them, I want a pair so bad.
Where did you get yours at and how much did you pay for them.
someone post a picture of your crocs too . We're talking the authentic ones, their pretty pricey from what I hear.
kathy_ann
Have you bought your crocs yet
I got the knock-offs, and they were $7 at a flea market. The Crocs are about $30, I think.
Hi, kathy_ann. They're about $30 dollars, at Wild Oats in Little Rock. You might also be able to find them in Conway, but I know
Wild Oats has them. Paula
I think DH got mine at a Hallmark store, of all places (they're the real deal.)
I bought DD a pair at a nurse's uniform store.
Yes, I have mine :) DDIL bought me a pair. She swears by them - she's an OR Nurse and she and the docs just throw them in a specialized dishwasher they have at the surgery center to sterilize them.
Yes, super comfy :)
Dea
Just got a pair in Searcy, paid 29.99 for them, Love them, their out of this world LOL, going to wear them around the house, and in the greenhouse, and watering, etc...
I got the real deal too.
Wild Oats has them? Cool! I have a Wild Oats just down the street that I keep trying to get to. Now I have another reason.
Dea, your DIL autoclaves her crocs? That's funny!
I'm an official "Croc Lover", too!!!!
I got mine two months ago at Dick's Sporting Goods, here in Davenport, Iowa.
I just love them-easy to wear, comfy, and so easy to clean-I just use a garden hose! HA!
I've heard Wally World and Target have knock offs for $7-$9. I paid $29.99 for the real deal.
they're also offered at Crocs.com for the same price, and at least a dozen different colors. There's probably shipping charges, tho-not sure.
Wally Worlds are not as comfortable, Targets are not bad....Payless Shoes has them and are great! Also LL Bean catalog has them very reasonable!
Debbie
will someone please post a picture of Crocs (I thought she meants crocks or crocadiles) because apparently I don't have a clue.
wow, they do look cool and comfortable but in the garden? Wouldn't they get full of dirt?
Parks did have them too. My kids have been through many pairs of the cheaper Walmart ones. Even our grocery store sells them now. They have different colors than all the others. Some are see through with sparkles. Some are embroidered.
Wood, the good thing about them is that you can spray them off with the hose. :)
What are they made of?
Their made of rubber and are wonderful for working in my greenhouse, watering, you'd think they'd get full of dirt, but their easily washed off, I absolutely love mine. Best garden shoes i'veb ought yet, and it's worth buying the expensive ones, they'll last so much longer.
My friend is a nurse and wears them. They go great with scrubs and she says her feet don't ache the end of the day.
Debbie
My dad who is 82 wears them when he's in the creek fishing - definately helps him get a grip on the rocks. He just loves his.
Don't your feet get sweaty? I'm having flashbacks of Jellies. lol!
I got mine, of all places, at the Dog Show in Houston this past weekend. I love them!!! I paid $27.00/pair and bought a pair of flip flops and a pair of clogs. The clogs have holes in the top of them to let your feet breathe.
Unlike the rest of me, my feet are skinny and regular Crocs are too wide for me. I understand there is a new style that is on the slimmer side; anyone know about that?
I have skinny feet too. You can order direct from the company. http://www.crocs.com/home.jsp
I ordered a pair of knock-offs from Lee Valley.
Thanks NN, I learned from that site that the "Cayman" is made for slimmer feet; I'll have to try a pair of them and see how they work out.
I got mine in green at Dicks Sporting goods. I think i paid $18. They are comfy!
I have had my pair for two year now, Love Them. The only problem I have is Three weeks ago the family went to Orlando, it rain the whole time, some concrete can get slippery if the bottom are wore like mine. Almost fell on my %@&^! My daughter has three pair, and the hubby has two. We wear them everywhere. While in Orlando, and the week before in Boston we walk miles and miles and miles never had any problems with my feet. We get them at Dillard’s and Dicks Sporting, for about $30. The hubby has a pair with no holes; he will wears them in the winter too.
I have a brown pair without the holes, and wore them all last winter with socks. My feet never got cold. I also have a pink pair that I got to use as house shoes, but know they get worn everywhere. I also have the first pair I ever bought from Payless that are knock-offs, they are still going. They have some new kind out like sandals, and then another that tie.
hey those are the real deal, really neat looking, I like the varieations, but I didn't see any prices on them, am I looking in the wrong place?
kathy
Kathy take your glasses off your head. The prices are listed.
How are you doing? I follow you around every now and then and read up on everything you are doing. It has been a hot dry summer, I think I am looking forward to fall. NOT winter but fall. I wonder but the weather will be like this winter?
LOL, I had to laugh at that comment, Maybe it hadn't loaded or something like that, surely it wasn't cause I was blind LOL
I'm doing good, trying to survive the heat. I too am looking forward to the fall, but not sure where i'm going to put things this winter, as I haven't the room in the greenhouse like I did last year, LOL oh well, i'll find a place for it all
Hope your doing good too
weather this winter will probably be colder than usual wouldn't you think since we had a hot hot summer, we'll have a cold cold winter LOL I don't know which is worse really
Me either I would like to have a little colder winter then we had last year to kill off some of the bugs. But I don't want it so cold that the propane bill will send me to the poor farm. It was a mild winter last year and there was a couple of times that I sat and looked at that propane bill and thought OMG where is this money coming from. But we made it though alright. I don't know what the folks are doing that are strictly on social security, that has to buy propane, and fuel for there autos. It is really getting bad.
Somebody asked if your feet get sweaty in Crocs. According to their advertising (and to Croc devotees), no, your feet actually stay dry...and no bad odor. :) I tried them but looked like Minnie Mouse...in her mother's shoes! Maybe I can find the slimmer ones. However, I was told by croclover (her DG i.d.) that they really don't touch your feet anywhere except the soles, and yet they don't rub blisters. They sound wonderful; just look funny. :)
I have two pair, one pink pair that stays by the back door, and one black pair that stays by the front door. Whichever door I go out, there's a pair handy to slip into.
I love them, because if I'm watering it doesn't matter if they get wet, and if they get muddy I just hose them off, feet and all.
I bought a similar pair without the holes and I absolutely hate them. If they get a little wet they make farting sounds when I walk. ;)
They sound like an ideal gardening shoe...but not in my yard: too many fireants!
Joann, LOL! Bivbiv, I think you need Wellies.
I wear mine everywhere, even to work. Hey, for once I'm being stylish.
Joan, what do you do when you go outthe front door and go in the back door, got two by the back door? LOL that would be me for sure. it's a good idea .
Fire ants were reall bad in Louisiana when I lived down there, now , here whenthe ants get on you , you have plenty of time to get them off before they start biting, I was watering the other day and stirred up an ant bed, had them all over me, only got bit once.
I'm thrilled I don't have to mess with those things, they are BAD!!!
kathy
Kathy, that does happen on occasion. LOL
Florida: The home of man-eating sharks, man-eating alligators, man-eating fireants! Not to mention droughts, wildfires, sinkholes, tornadoes and hurricanes. Let's see....have I left out anything?
Get out of there NOw LOL, I thought I had it bad with a meesly 105 weather. Ha!!
