Poison

We need to understand poison, and many msgs I've read refer to controls, elimination, disease, blight, insects. This is such an active gardeners site, and we need to share knowledge and experience about this distasteful and dangerous but very real part of gardening.

I am suggesting that we create a special subject area for poisons, where we can disucss the choice, efficacy/not and long-term dangers of poison. I've seen references in many threads. I think it would be useful to 'centralize' it.

We can't ignore this subject.

I think there are different places to discuss depending on what knowledge it is that you want--there's Garden Products if you have a particular brand/type of pesticide/herbicide that you want to learn more about, there's Garden Foes if you have a particular pest and need to get rid of it, and there's Organic Gardening if you want to talk about the less toxic alternatives. I don't think you'd be able to centralize it easily because people in those forums are still going to discuss these things in the context of those forums even if you tried to make a central forum.

Seems there are just so many great forums that could overlap with similar topics it makes it hard to narrow it down where to post your threads!
