..........getting all ready to show me a flush, I can't wait!
Velvet Rose
Oh that's going to be niiiice!!! Sounds like it's going to be beautiful just by the name LOL.
I haven't ever seen it in person, but the photos are lovely that I have seen, so yes I am very excited.
Oh cool- so it'll be a surprise for you too, huh? Neat! My first ever brugs that I got as trades on here this spring (three of them) are going to bloom- I'm SO excited!!! :)
Isn't it exciting to see your own bloom for the first time? Pictures are very nice, but isn't nearly the same as the "real thing." :)
I'm waiting on Whiskers and Enchanted Double White to bloom for for the first time.
They do well in the heat ! Mine is fixing to bloom again !
This one is so pretty. I hope you'll add some more pics of her to plant files. I think there's only two of her there so far.
thanks all, it's fun sharing my excitement, if I get nice photos, I will happily add to plant files :)
We have had some high heat days last week and the pods doubled in size, lots of water going into that pot for last few weeks!
I look at this plant probably 10 times a day, lol it is really trying my patience, but this is the earliest I have ever gotten blooms, so it's well worth the wait
Mine died before it ever grew )o: ..ha
Hope your's does great. Please show more pix when it opens.
Oh sorry to hear that, I have lost some, last year I lost Loreley and was so upset, but my friend in LA sent me 2 small cuttings again a month ago, one finally took and it's got beautiful leaves on it now :)
I will post pics as it progresses
Mine was doing great until all this heat and dryness hit us. Then it lost all of it's leaves, it was small, and now it consist of a stalk that is drying up. Trying to save it
I know you are excited about the flush that is on the way. Good job.
well I am so sorry to hear that, this heat this year has really been the pits! but I shant complain as we are getting rain as I type, and I believe next week is looking like mostly rain all week, mosquitos will be out in full force if that's the case.
I had some of my stalks try to dry up on me as well, some I actually babied along and kept them going, where others died, so i wish you the best of luck!!
she's starting to split and drop...................... I am on pins and needles here!!!
So close! Didn't take long from the "split" to the "drop." My last flush on Isabella took 8 days from the time the pod split to the time she bloomed.
Did you use Messenger on yours?
it is close!!! and its progressing rather quickly I think too
and yes I use messenger on all my dats and brugs :)
Bingo! I thought so!!!
I sprayed Messenger on Isabella 10 days ago. The pods started splitting on Wednesday evening, and looks like she'll bloom tonight. So, that knocked off 4 days of the blooming process, compared to my last flush.
we have such a short bloom time here, I started using it a couple years ago and noticed right off how much difference it makes, I love that product and my brugs won't go without LOL
I'd say tonight or tomorrow night for mine to fully open, I can't wait!~
cool! yours is further along than mine, I will watch toward evening to see if it starts changing color or starting to open
I dose mine once a week when I remember!!!
I feel like I am in that Mervyn's commercial and standing outside saying OPEN OPEN OPEN! I am such a bad waiter.
OhioB - That is one gorgeous picture from this morning - is that a pond in the background? Karen
LOL Kell, so am I, I look at this plant every single time I walk past the LR window, or when I am outside I detour around the pond just to get a closer peek!!!
LOL yes pond, sorry we posted about same time, yes I have a pond just off the patio in front of the house :)
Is she blooming yet??
I think she's teasing you, Laurrrie. LOL She letting the anticipation bild up and up. LOL
I am impatient, and I know it's tormenting me on purpose, should I just go out and strangle the thing? LOLOLOL
uh, maybe it's waiting until it cools off so that her blooms will last longer? :)
I had one out of six bloom last night. I imagine when I get home from work today, that bloom will be history since the heat index is supposed to be around 105 today.
93 degrees today, don't see much chance of it cooling off, but I pray it does somewhat for tonight! took more photos mid-day, will post those later when I unload the camera, it's such a gorgeous yellow right now
Same here IN Lily, Maya is in her 2nd flush, and it's like Haddes here today. It still smelled heavenly last night, but I figure those beautiful trumpets just wilted in today's heat.... I did get some pics, yesterday a.m., but the blooms were mostly still white.... she's such a producer! OHBreezy, we're all anxiously awaiting . . . . . . . . .
Laurrie she is going to look great. I had the messenger going on today. I wish I knew for sure if it was the reason for such great flushes so far this year. I will be watching for the blooms of VR.
Dott
I can't wait for tomorrow morning to get some shots, I don't do night shots at all my camera just won't let me LOL, but she is coloring up beautifully and I am so excited, I love the scent!
