My sister & her family live in Davie! I've spent a lot of time down there the past couple of years. My Mom was down there for about 6 years before she passed about 1 1/2 yrs ago, The last two years of her life, I was in Davie spending a lot of time down there. I don't go by car anymore, unless my hubby drives! I won't drive on the Interstate ... I'll admit, I would cause an accident .... I panic when someone is going over 70, which is all the time anymore! If it were bumper to bumper going 35 - 40 I would be just fine. LOL
When my Mom was sick, I would go down for two to three weeks at a time, but I would fly out of Orlando! Ha Ha. It's a 1 1/2 hr drive from Daytona to the Orlando Int'l Airport, so my husband would drop me at OIa for the 35 minute flight to Lauderdale Int'l !! I'll take flying anytime over the headaches of traffic. I don't know how you all drive in all that traffic down there, makes me a nervous wreck! I just wish I could fly out of DBIA .... but I can only get to Atlanta from here! Then, I'd have to turn around in Atl and get a flight to Lauderdale!
