We have caught a couple coons that size here in the same trap Sarv! My youngest DD, who is almost 8, stuck her finger in the trap on Wednesday and we released it before we knew it... so now I got a 7 year old who can really say she has had her rabies shots LOL

Funny now, not at the time.

Our pet coons are getting much bigger!

They were born March 1, so they are 4 months old now, and boy are they a handful :)

Here they are with our new puppy, Nitwit :)

Was it here I spoke of a critter hole going into the pumphouse? Well I caught the guy.......well I didn't really catch him, I just caught him in the act of coming out of the hole.

I didn't know these guys lived underground. Well I told him he could stay and I would behave myself if he would too.

Hi all
Just wanted to come over and see what everyone has been up to today.

dmc, that carriage sounds so so pretty. Bet that wedding was sure gorgeous. What fun ... and *different to do on your birthday. Hope it was enjoyable. :-)

Meezers, poor you! Soooo how long will your *company* be staying this time? Am thinking about you. ;)

Bonnie, so you finally got that nap ... and well deserved, I might add! I agree with the rest. Don't think you'll be running out of beans. It's so sweet of you to do that for both your MIL and DM. They are sure lucky to have you. You are very faithful and kind to see to both their wants and needs.

sarv, hope you have fun tomorrow. I'll be picturing you just sitting there with a satisfied grin on your face. LOL

Critter, your mint tea sounded so refreshing. I sure do enjoy mine. :-) It's fun to see how many veriations you can come up with. Of course ... being from the south, I too love my sweet tea. LOL

Well, after having a big lunch of chicken and veggies with sliced tomatoes and cucumbers ... couldn't think of anything I wanted for supper, so the DH grilled burgers again and I put that gorgonzola cheese in mine again. Boy is that ever good.

To all those I've missed commenting to today ... just know I've read and enjoyed. Sounds like all have had a busy day as usual. If I don't make it back ... will check in tomorrow!
~~~~ for now.
OH what a busy day! I read through everyone's doings....love your (teak?) furniture Ann. I've always admired that style, so classic.
Sarv-thanks for the pie! MMMmm
It's fun to see other viewpoints of birthdays, etc. I grew up in a family that downplayed all life events. We sang a round of the Surrey with the Fringe on the Top today, made my day. I remember seeing Oklahoma for the first time when I was about 8 and a surrey with the fringe on top was a dream like walking on the moon....and here I am!
After my long shower I heard that my friend's horse had foaled - two weeks early, and went up there to see....I hope it works out all right, the baby is tiny. She did get up and nurse. The vet was there when I left.
DH took a few pics. He was supposed to get me some video shots but ended up as groom and footman. I have to say the wedding was a bit disorganized....But very pretty. When I get them from his camera I'll post some.
Good night friends...it was fun to share the day!!
Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)
Hi everyone. This is just a note to say that I'm back from my endurance ride weekend, it's hot and I'm going out on the front porch with a glass of wine to catch the breeze before hitting the bed. See you tomorrow.
Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)
Just popping in to say good night and also to invite you to design hosta garden extensions for me.
Not urgent, but within a couple of years, I may need more space.
And here's a bloom on my Paul's Glory - the first time it has bloomed.
Hope you all have a good night.
Hi ... just thought I'd check in one more time before I hit the hey.
Oh Meezers ... I guess sometimes ignorance is bliss! *wink* At least that's what they say, ain't it? LOL
Well, I think I hear a set of sheets calling my name, so I'll catch y'all in the morning.
Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)
Thanks M5, I stayed on the computer this afternoon for about an hour and a half, got my address bar back, and practiced,so I think that I will be able to do it. I sure do appreciate all you good folks that have been too kind with helping me with this. It has been many years since I was so stymied at anything. I am persistant, and usually triumph over whatever. M5, can't you do some kind of chant that will get the visitor out real quick? I would do it within his hearing-- "he will be gone tomorrow, he will be gone tomorrow". Subliminal message!!
dmc, that carriage looks gorgeous. So the planning was a little off, if it "takes" probably they will look back and giggle at the "oops" today.
Molly, I don't think your critter actually lives underground, I suspect that he was just inspecting what was made by somebody else. Just keep your eyes pealed, something with a tail is going in that hole. I sure hope that it isn't something slithery!!
sarv, I probably will be up for awhile, keep that pie on the counter, and the ice cream handy, I will have it for a snack. Looks good, did you say cherry? Am going to be in the pool tomorrow morning, vacuuming. Yes, you do get some color, just from brief exposures out there. Did I tell you that the robotic vac does well, but from time to time have to use the manual one, as it doesn't get the sides very good. But we are only running the pump about 10 hours a day, and the water is testing perfect every time.
I01, you just have to tell us what kind of ice cream you had at last night's ice cream social. Did you have a taste of every kind. The little church that we had the fish fry at last night is having an ice cream social next Sunday night. I am making pralines and cream, got the recipe from a fellow church member, and boy is it good, and so loaded with calories that if you eat one bowl, that is enough calories for the entire week. Made exclusively with cream and half and half.
Darius, how was the nap and the fried green tomatoes? We served them last night at the fish fry, and they were gone in no time. As with the sweet tea, I think this is a "southern thing".
Viann, pretty picture of your hosta. So are you making plans for more space, when you get maxed out there? Since we have 27 plus acres, my yard keeps growing and growing, as I incorporate pasture land into mine. A new iris bed is going in this fall. Shhh, I haven't told DH that yet.
Mary, you will have to tell us all about your ride tomorrow. Can't wait to hear.
Critter, you had to go and mention "Oklahoma", now it is running through my head. Wonder if my dreams will have that as the theme tonight?
Hope, I hear you about sensitive teeth. After my gum surgery, couldn't stand either hot or cold. Have you found a dentist that is affordable? I hope that you can get those teeth taken care of this week, I am concerned about your overall health.
Well, McCool hasn't posted, wonder how her DH is doing. If you are around, DH just asked about you guys.
Well, gonna go check some other forums, before I try the bed.
Good night all, and thanks again M5, for the link.
Everson, WA(Zone 8a)
Well Molly did you.Come on share with us lol Ernie
Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)
Awwww Bonnie, I was comforted by my assumption of the toad. It seems strange, but I had covered up both holes yesterday in the morning and watched them throughout the day. When I went out to get my dinner from the freezer, that when I saw the toad. He was sitting in the hole with his butt inside the hole like he had just come out.
Ernie did I what?
Looks like a town run today. I have 3 packages I'll need to mail and run to the paint store for a bit.
I need to think about getting the lawn mower fixed. While Jeremy has been gone the summer millet grass has really gotton tall. I weed wacked a lot of it, but the grasses around my plants in the flower beds needed to be trimmed too, so I used my garden shears for cutting that grass. I got a blister on my finger for that. The last time I tried to do that with the weed wacker, I cut the top off of one of my young hibiscus.
Well, better get those plants dug and boxed up. TTYL
