* Lost in the shuffle of the 'Regional' Forums *

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

Please, try not to misunderstand the gist of the thread - for I am not attempting to diminish their importance of the regional forums.

For I take an occasional gander at some of the 'regional forums' .. as I'm sure so many other folks do also! And I'm relatively certain that no one (including myself!) .. feels that any of the 'regional' folks, are attempting to alienate anyone else either.

It would just be so nice that none of us would have to pilpher & rumble thru (or 'happen upon') .. those threads and/or subjects that may interest any of the rest of us - - that normally (prior to the regional forums) would have been in the most applicable forum .. of which to see and read {those} threads/subjects.

Yep .. I'm trying to 'beat some life' back into a dead horse. (or, should it read: the dead horse has lost his beat!?!) .. LOL ..

I agree totally, I hope. I didn't read every post. It was a lot more fun when there was only a small number of forums. Everyone should have a personal forum, then we could at least find people. I have to laugh at the coffee threads, they remind me of the old crank telephones with their party lines. Steady gossip all day long!
Well back to trying to find something interesting.

P.S. Even you, Magpye, I thought you had left for other digs, haven't seen a post from you for so long.

Magpye, I started a thread in Daves Garden about reinstating some sort of "New Posts" page. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/663275/ We lost that last Winter and I think it's absence is adding to the lost connections.
I suspect that most of us pretty much stick to our 'favorites' but with 195 forums there is no doubt that I miss a lot of interesting posts outside of my 'favorites' but don't have the time to search each one.
I very much believe that a 'New Posts' page would help bring the community closer by giving every forum full exposure.

I'm very pleased. Now Dave & Terry can add all the forums they want without my missing so much.
Yes, it was added pretty quick. Ya never know.

That Posting update is a great new feature!

I didn't notice it until yesterday. Thanks for asking for it, Andy.

It is perfect for visiting other places we're too busy to look up ourselves. I don't look at all of them, but most interest me.
